What have you been doing as of late with off-season workouts?
“For my offseason workouts, I have just been lifting weights and running to stay in top condition during these times. Obviously, I don't have all the resources I would like to better myself, but I'm making do with what I have and making the best out of it.”
What are you trying to improve on before the football season begins?
“Something I want to improve on before the season begins is coming out of my shell. I'm a different person off the field as I'm very quiet and laid back, and the exact opposite off the field. I know that I have to come out of my shell and start opening my mouth to lead my team and become a better leader this season, especially since I am now a senior. I have to take on the leadership role.”
How do you feel your team will do this football season?
“I'm very excited for our team this year. I feel that we have a lot of guys that can get it done. I also believe that we have the best defense in the state and that will be proven this season.”
Who do you feel will be the toughest competition on your schedule?
“I feel as though every team in our league is talented, but I feel that we can play and compete with the best of them and a lot of people's eyes will open up after seeing us play. The teams will start to respect us more.”
Who is the toughest individual player your team will face off against this fall?
“I don't really pay attention to players or put them on any pedestal, but there a few good players out there that we will face. We aren't backing down from anybody. We respect them, but we fear no one.”
Do you want to play sports in college? If so, which one?
“I definitely want to play football in college. This has been a dream for me since I started playing football at 5 years old. I've always been around the game even when I was in a stroller going to practice as baby with my dad, so I just want to fulfill that dream and go to the highest level afterwards, the NFL.”
What colleges have been recruiting you?
“I haven't been getting much feedback from colleges, but all it does is motivate me and put a chip on my shoulder, but I won't say nothing. I'll let my play do the talking for me.”
Do you have any plans for college visits this fall? If so, where?
“I do have plans to take college visits this fall. I'm not sure where, but anywhere where the opportunity presents itself and I am definitely considering that certain school.”
Do you have any plans for late camps this summer?
“I do plan on going to all camps that I can make to get my name out there no matter when. I plan on letting my name be known.”
Did you have a favorite college growing up?
“I was never a big college football fan until recent years, but if I had to pick one just based off of their history, it would have to be The U, the University of Miami. They have had a ton of great players come through there that I look up to such as Ed Reed, Ray Lewis, Jonathan Vilma, and my favorite of all time, Sean Taylor.”
