How did the high school football season go overall?
“With a young team we made some mistakes, but we figured it out and persevered as a team, along with some tough coaching we were able to turn it around to a winning season. Overall, it was a good season, however good is not good enough where better is expected.”
What are your plans now with sports and workouts?
“It is the off-season grind. Now that team strength training is in full motion, we lift as a team on M-W-F. I am at Crunch Gym 3 days a week, working on my strength and speed on my own time.”
What are you trying to improve on the most as a player?
“4500 calories a day to increase my weight, as well as a vigorous individual 3-day strength training for power and agility.”
How do you feel your team will do next football season?
“At McDevitt, there is never a shortage on talent when we lose a senior. The next player up is the one who rises to the occasion. We are going to have a fairly young team, but make no mistake about it, those underclassmen are good. The kind of good that comes with college offers. So, while we are humble, we are also focused and hungry to bring the Mid Penn Conference and District titles back to McD.”
Who do you feel will be the toughest competition on your schedule next season?
“Every team can be our toughest challenge if we fail to focus, execute, and perform as a team. No team will be taken for granted or overlooked.”
Do you want to play sports in college? If so, which one?
“Football.”
What colleges have been recruiting you?
“I have been on couple of visits and met a few coaches, however nothing official yet. As a rising senior, I'm staying focused on the game plan and trusting in our process.”
Have you made any college trips yet?
“Yes, the most recent was to South Bend, Indiana to the University of Notre Dame.”
Do you have plans for more trips soon?
“Yes, the plans are to attend some winter/spring camps in order to sharpen my skills in preparation for any summer invites.”
Did you have a favorite college growing up?
“Tough question, but my favorite college is the college that believes in me.”
