Friday night 8 o'clock at Widener. This should be a great game. Both teams are coming off of big time wins over NJ powers. I have to give the edge to Prep as they seem to have Wood's number recently. Either way, this game should come down to the 4th quarter. Look for special teams to play a major factor in deciding this outcome.

Give me SJP in a close on. Infante has Devlin's number.

Impressive win by Wood this week. I do think BC took them a little lightly and got a bit too cute in this game. More of a traditional AW team in that they don't have a ton of explosiveness at their disposal, but they are sound and tough from what I can see. Rely mostly on a rushing attack and play action. I'd like to see them incorporate Pitts into the game plan a little more. I think he can be a problem for defenses. They have a by-committee thing going on at WR, but this kid Loughlin has impressed in the last two games. Good defensive team.

SJP is damn impressive defensively. Even when they yield yards they have kids who just make plays to prevent scores. A ton of experience on that side of the ball, playmakers, too. They really get after it. I think they have held their two opponents to like 45 yards rushing in two games. They have about 10 or 11 sacks so far and had 15 total TFLs in their first game. Live in their opponents' backfield. Offensively, still a work-in-progress. The soph RB Burrell shined this week. Had a few impressive runs to ice the game and netted 125 yards against a legit defensive front seven. WR's are also by-committee right now. They spread it around. Opportunistic bunch, too. Three of their four scores this past weekend covered, 8, 5, and 6 yards. All three set-up by a special teams play; blocked punt, bad snap on punt, and 33-yard punt return.

Should be a good one and Wood beating BC opened some eyes. I just think SJP's defense makes a few more plays that lead to scores and they get by somewhere in the 24-14 ish range.

I haven't seen either team yet, but ill predict a low scoring game from both teams having strong Defenses. I don't see it with Pitts he's great size but totally overrated, 3 catches 46 yards NO TD's in 3gms vs some very good competition. I wonder how many times he was a target. I think Prep does the same an keeps him off the stat sheet.

Prep 17-12

I've seen 2 of the 3 Wood games on film to do stats. I can't tell which plays are called for him and if they end up not developing, but it's my hunch that his number hasn't been called all that much. Wood is running the ball at a 75% clip after three games. I haven't seen any drops (I think) in the two games I watched and I've seen him run with the ball in hands in the past. He's a threat when that happens.

Will simmons play this wk?

With or without him I have them losing 27-10. Wood have veterans athletes at key positions. I think Wood forces Prep to put the ball in the air by stuffing the run. Playing right into their hands.

I believe Simmons is out for the year.

Hey, anything can happen, but I'll gladly take SJP +17.

Agree, with BTM. It will be difficult for AW to get to 27 points without some kind of crazy circumstances. Their offense isn't dynamic enough to achieve that against this SJP defense. However, they may be able to methodically hold onto the ball and play good defense to win the game.

As Prep knows form their scrimmage this year Bergen has a pretty good D as well. Wood's offense scored 4 TD's and were close to another in first half on a very close 4th down pass to Pitts in end zone from the BC 12. Also, Wood had driven to the BC 25 with 2 minutes left and were attempting to run out the clock and ran 4 straight times and came up half yard short, if there was more time left, Wood most likely gets more points, as they were driving strong. Lastly, ask Wood fans who were there and even some BC fans (who admitted and were very hospitable btw), Wood O also overcame some very poor holding calls, and no calls on a roughing the kicker no call, and bad PI no call.....Was a great game at a great venue..Not sure BC took Wood for granted, but if they were looking forward to Mater Dei, by halftime when it was 7-7, they knew they had a fight on their hands, could not adjust, and Wood beat them.
