Plymouth Whitemarsh at Wyomissing Sat 2PM
They worked this game out before I caught wind of it and sorted through correct and incorrect schedules. Can’t find much on PW coming off a 9-2 season (narrow loss to Chelty), their first winning season in 3 years and a record setting offense that scored 40ppg. D was decent at 19ppg. Both largely wiped out per grad but return DEs Duran 6-1, 230 and Hildebrand 5-10, 215 (co-PT?) and a number of subs per 40-19 scoring differential.
Wyomissing is a historic power in district-3, well coached by one of the best in Bob Wolfrum, 313-84-1 coming into 2020, a Philly guy. They have significant edge with a 2 game jump (2-0) outscoring weak opponents 94-9. Despite this being PW’s first game they may field the best talent Wyo has seen to date. Still, Wyo has a lot of people to watch and legit talent spread throughout the team. They are one bad ass Triple-A.
Wyo’s preseason write up.
Here’s another Reading power joining Wilson, Governor Mifflin, Berks Catholic and Exeter looking real good with big numbers and experience returning on both sides of the ball. Qb Zach Zechman is back with Wyo’s typical size dominating the lines in Seamas Filoon (6-4, 280), Rushard Williams (6-4, 290), Steve Olexy (6-0, 240) and TE Aiden Mack (6-4, 210). Standout Evan Niedrowski (6-2, 230) is back at FB/LB with Darren Brunner (6-0, 190) and Jack Feightner (6-1, 200) also at backer. Amory Thompson, Nevin Carter and Jordan Auman are back in the secondary. They open Sept 19th at Hamburg and its hard finding a loss on a schedule including Fleetwood, Kutztown, Twin Valley and Schuylkill Valley.
