Looks like he ran an 11.13 and finished 4th at the D12 meet. Top 2 automatically qualify at each district meet, plus everybody else who ran a sub 11.10.

Top seed is Journey Brown from Meadville, who ran a 10.72. You may remember him from his 700 yard, 10 TD game this fall against DuBois in that crazy 108-96 game.

Top 2 in district 12 qualify , plus 3-8 if they hit the qualifying mark. In the stronger dust it's like district 1, the top 5 automatically qualify plus 6-8 if they hit the qualifying mark.

Doesn't Jeremy Jennings (Downingtown East) play football too? He's the #2 seed in the 100 with 10.73 and he ran a 10.63 in the prelim of D1 Championships.

Just checked, yes he does play football. I pulled out the names I recognized, there definitely could be others.

Fun facts: Leroy Burrell (Penn Wood) still holds PIAA state record in 100m at 10.44 in 1985. He held the World Record of 9.85 for 2 years. To put in perspective, Carl Lewis's best time was 9.92 when he lost to a juiced Ben Johnson's 9.79 in that famous Olympic race. Usain Bolt holds current World Record at 9.58. Burrell didn't play other sports in high school due to poor vision.

Garner takes silver in the triple jump. Valentine was 7th.

Hoag finished 6th in the shot put, Barnes was 9th. Cameron Landis, lineman from Erie Cathedral Prep, was 5th.

All track finals are tomorrow. Jennings and Brown were the only two under 11.0 in prelims in the 100. Dotson had the top time in the 200 and was one of two guys under 22.0.

Jennings, Brown, Younger, Liaci, and Demen all advanced to semis in the 100.

Sult and Hodge are both in semis in the 110 hurdles and Hodge is a finalist in the 300 hurdles. Villanova football getting an underrated prospect there.

Dotson, Arp, Jennings, Alleyne, Eubanks are all in semis in the 200.

Mier, Alleyne, and Woods all made semis in the 400.

Discus, Javelin, Long Jump, and High Jump are tomorrow.

Does anyone have any background info on this kid Jordan Geist from Knoch ? He just shattered the shot put record for a repeat win and is only a junior. He has a chance of doubling today in the discuss and is the consensus top high school thrower in the country. How is he not playing football ?

Found an article on Geist on Pa Mile Split. Says quitting football was the best decision he ever made. The current world champion in the shot put is a Pennsylvania boy (Joe Kovacs - Bethlehem Catholic) so we grow them right here.

Dotson just won the long jump by a foot. Too bad he's going to be in NJ the next two years, special athlete. Kelli's Valentine was 6th and Kobay White 8th to round out the medalists.
