I’m sure every school has their examples, but the great tragedy of this in Easton is Chanelle Price never got to play sanctioned flag football.
Chanelle set the national high school girls record in the 800, ended up an NCAA runner-up, part of a world record 4x800 relay team, indoor world champion in the 800, and took 5th at Olympic trials. She’s also the most physically imposing 800 runner ever. If you’re making a top 5 Easton athletes ever, she’s in it and she’s not 5.
Her brother was a Big 33 cornerback on the ‘04 Easton team that went to the 4A Eastern Final. Very much a football family, but only had one boy. Easton plays one flag football game a year, against P’Burg the Monday before Thanksgiving, and I think Chanelle averaged 60 yards per catch and scored ten touchdowns. One of the most impressive athletic performances I have ever seen with absolutely no stakes involved. She’d be the Derrick Henry of PA girls flag football if she had a full career.
