it always fascinates me how much the little things matter at this level. A QB who can read the defense and throw. A RB with breakaway speed and vision. A kicker that can put your opponent on the 20 yard line to start every possession. D-E had the ball inside the PV 30 yard line, with the wind, twice in the first quarter and had nothing to show for it. With the score tied at 14, PV kicks a 48 yard FG, gets the ball back with less than two minutes left in the half and scores a TD for a 10 point lead that had to be hard to swallow for D-E considering how closely the game was played at this point. PV gets the ball to start the second half and drives it down the field for another TD and a 17 point lead. Game over. Credit to the D-E kids, as they kept plugging away.
