14- 8 at the half. NP was driving after a quick 3 and out by PHS got into the redzone and the Falcon's pass rush really stepped up with a couple of sacks to stall the drive.
Wow! The Knights run a trick cross field lateral pass on the kickoff return and Henley returns it to the Falcon 30 or so and is horse collared for another 15 yds. Isabella up the gut on the first paly for the score 21-8 NP.
What is it with Dick Beck? Go for it on 4th down on your own 41 with a 21 -8 lead? Pennsbury stopped West for a loss, and PHS behind Alley's running grinds it down to the two and Ruprecht scores on his third try. missed PAT. 21-14
North Penn got away with movement on the line on third and long. Udinski completes an out pattern and two broken tackles in the secondary later and NP has a 69 yard TD pass. Blocked PAT. 27-14

Pennsbury scores on a long time consuming ground and pound drive, capped by a a surprise pass to Snyder who slipped out through the line to catch the Alley pass wide open for a score. I think PHS has place kicking difficulties as they went for two. Snyder had earlier missed a kick attempt on what may have been his first ever attempt? 27-20.

Beck another boneheaded call on fourth down on the PHS 31 with a minute to go. Beck calls a pass?! Sack for 11 yards. What is he thinking?
North Penn wins.
Pennsbury is at a huge disadvantage when they trail late in the game despite a really good QB who has emerged as a runner as well as a guy with a good arm. Pennsbury really does not practice playing from behind scenarios apparently. The players don't know how to get to the line quick. The QB doesn't spike the ball quickly to stop the clock, and then there is the pattern running issue. Snyder is so one dimensional in thought.I don't see them ever being a legit State Title contender with him in charge. They have a really tough defense against the run.
North Penn has a good passing attack. They struggled against the Pennsbury defense on the ground, although Isabella played hard and had some nice runs. Their D stalled out PHS in the first half, but tired in the second half. Isabella made a ton of tackles but was really banged up at the end. Several Knights were limping and just hanging on. This tough game could help my Redskins next week when Neshaminy travels to North Penn. The game will be interesting and one of those rare times when Pennsbury is rooting for Neshaminy.
