I don't care what anybody says, PCL Red has the best 3 teams in the state hands down. LaSalle, Prep, Wood.... doesn't get no better then that.

TD,
Beating the 2 top teams from the Northern Union League (NJ) that were top 25? nationally ranked provides a further statement as to the power of the Prep and Wood programs. I heard Wood did it their way, ground and pound for the most part.

Not sure how good LaSalle is/can be?.... Losing your star QB/best player in week 2 for an indefinite period created uncertainty. They returned a healthy number of starters this year, and a back-up QB with no snap/game experience and 1 week of practice comes in and looks like he's frolicking through 7 on 7 drills against a usually sound Malvern Prep squad. No doubt Brett Gordon had his signature on that effort!!

As for the league... unless one can catch lightning in a bottle (never know?), 6A & 5A still run through Girard Ave. and Warminster until further notice..

btw....don't dismiss this Pine-Richland team... Their week 1 win maybe downgraded a slight bit, but that offense is dynamic, if they get a defensive effort that's rational, they are in the conversation. Here in the East we've heard similar accolades for previous PCC teams until they went up against SJP, so people may be somewhat dismissive. This P-R offense is a different kind of animal, would be foolish to ignore them..

Yesman, throw Harrisburg in that discussion with PR also. They are absolutely loaded and Parsons is arguably the best player in the state.

What Gordon does with LaSalle's offense is so impressive. Has his back up Qb in and doesn't really miss a beat. He truly puts his kids in the best position to be successful.

What happens when Jones is scheduled to come back prior to the Prep game? Solecki played a very nice game the other night. Has surprising speed and he throws a very nice ball!! If Solecki is still playing at that level, what do you do? Nice problem to have but still a problem.

What i would do is keep Solecki in at QB, i bring Jones in for Wildcat or possibly tailback for a few carries (he's 6'1 225) and he also plays more defense. But i wouldn't take Solecki out. I really like him, not because of 1 game but i have seen him QB all JV last year and know what he is capable of, i think Gordon knew what he had there and wasn't worried about him filling in. Solecki will torch Carroll,Ryan,Judge in the next 3 weeks you will see all the weapons that La Salle has exposed, then a nice bye week before it has Roman,Prep,Wood. Buckle up, Prep/Wood Friday night...
