Haverford HS 28-0 over Penncrest

Perk Valley wins 27-24 over Haverford School field goal with 2 sec left FINAL

Major props to Perk Valley. They went out and scheduled a great non-league slate and are now 3-0. PV is no longer under the radar.

Emmaus 62 Pocono Mt. West 6

I would have picked Whitehall over liberty in the preseason, but not after their 1-2 start. Big win and it puts Emmaus (?!) in the drivers seat.

Jeez -- just when I get excited about the 'Canes (actually, I love to hate them since it seems I have never gotten over Hartenstine and the 22-6 loss we suffered up there in 1970 -- only loss that season and at 0-0 after two quarters it was still anybody's game).

Skinner, don't forget the phantom clip on Dale's KO return for a Td on the ensuing kick off after Liberty scored their first Td. Big momentum changer.

71 -

I didn't want to look like a bad sport but as long as you bring that up ...

And glad to read your post (hope you are feeling good).

Without the state title in '08, I'd say Liberty is the biggest underachiever in the Valley. Huge school with a ton of talent, but outside of the Hartenstine era and the 2004-2008 run with Moncman, haven't been very good. I've been critical of them post Moncman for making short sighted hires and doing less with more. Maybe this is the year it changes, but the classic Liberty October slide may have started Friday

'71, great to see you back my friend. I will crack a cold one and raise my mug to you. You've always been one of the best posters on this forum over the years. Right now I only care about you getting healthy and us getting a chance to hang out again. Can't wait!!

Thanks, Relayer! Looking forward to throwing back some micro-brews with you.

Bummer that Justin Jaworski is out 6 weeks for Perk Valley. The kid was tearing it up this season. Hopefully he's back for the playoffs. I guess the good news is they only have one test left in the regular season against Spring-Ford.
