OT- Temple is cleaning up

I like the job Matt Rhule is doing and I rooted for Temple all season, especially against ND. I think there are now expectations for next season. The problem is Temple lost 4 of their last 7 and lost to a MAC team by double digits in a crappy bowl game. All in all a nice season, but can Temple win another 10 games next year?

Rhule has been a great addition and it appears Temple winning this year has certainly attracted more well known players. I wouldn't be surprised if Diouboute [spelling] decides to stay home with the OWLS also.

Yeah, it's always tough for the new team on the block to sustain themselves and that's key.

Philly has been a college hoops town (and me a fan) since I was a kid in Gettysburg and before. Right, Gettysburg!....where we were treated to some special basketball as kids in the old MAC with St. Joe's, LaSalle, Temple, Lafayette, Lehigh, Delaware, Bucknell et al coming to the field house to play the Bullets who at one point had two little All Americans.
That influence turned south central PA into a Big Five hot bed, for some, matching the zeal the area feels for the Terps and all things ACC til they went Big 10.

Weird and largely unknown that there is this little pocket in southern Pa and northern MD where Big 5 basketball rules! On the football end of it, Delaware had some monster teams then as well. It was a great conference. See below.

First Russo and now Raynor , people are starting to notice these aren't the same old Owlz!!!
Cleaning up? If 11 2 stars and 12 3 stars is cleaning up, I guess so. Let's see how they do on the field this fall. Lots of one and done wonders. Sustain it over a decade or so, now you have something. Going 3-4 to end the season is not cleaning up, either.

If Dioubate does select Temple as some seem to expect, that would be a coup. As EPC FAN alludes to, he'd be their only 4 star.

Stars aren't the end all.Bennie Walls flipped from Boston College and if you saw him play you wouldn't care how many stars he has. You would take him.

First off stars don't mean as much as some people make them out to be. Second when was the last time Temple got the #1 qb, the #1 rb and possibly the #1 de in the state to play there?
