Not taking anything away from Ricci and Garnet valley , tremendous run, but didn't np beat em, with only loss coming to the prep. Beck is coach of the year. 4,000 yard passer, philosophical change and use of talent. Who says an old dog can't learn new tricks!

What about doing more with less?
I believe that NP had the second most talented team in SE PA and eventually lost to the team with the most talent in SE PA/ all of PA. I would say that beck met expectations according to talent. I believe Ricci did more with less.

Good points but they lost 3 times, had a nice get hot NY Giants run at the end. It's either beck or infante, but I guess you can't keep giving it to the same people.

I'm ok with that selection. Basically got a team no one expected anything from to the D-1 6A title game. Beat two undefeated, higher ranked teams along the way. Won three road playoff games.

haven't seen article (D-12 too?) but hard arguing against Coach Hogan-O'Hara taking Lions from 1-9 to 10-1 in difficult circumstance.

Many people wrote GV off as a non contender. I believe most of those on here had GV losing the first or second round. I'm not giving coach Ricci a nod here, but they had one helluva run.

I can give you three reasons off of the top of my head why he wouldn't be my COY.
Dobbins, Mastbaum & Chester.
He won every game he should have, though. Nice year for O'Hara.
