43-0 at half. All Neshaminy. The long snapper for CRN is having a bad night. Two misfires on snaps. I feel bad for the kid.

IronMan -

Oh boy - glad they started putting the subs in before the half (and the clock is running). I feel bad for CR as it's a tough year for the Indians and this isn't making them feel any better. Well, the young 'Skins will get plenty of time in the second half.

You Neshaminy guys can use the same thread title the next 6 weeks. I'd rather see threads on actual games, although I realize we don't get that on this board anymore. Sad

Felt bad for Rock. Good to see Coach Wilmot doing it right and getting those kids a lot of playing time.

Yeah, I am a teacher, so I have a tendency to think about the kids. Losing isn't fun and getting badly beaten week end and week out is really tough. Programs like Bensalem and Tennent, you have to give those kids credit for their perseverance in the face of really bad odds.I am proud of Wilmot for playing subs the entire second half. Good playing time for the backups. Some coaches want to see the starters play a little into the third, but there was no reason to do that. He did the right thing. The program is a lot saner with Wilmot in charge now compared to the coaching rages pre Frederick.

Neshaminy still faces one team that looks like they might be trouble before the playoffs, CB South has played really good D and can run the ball a little bit. They have played very well so far, so that game could be a battle. Otherwise the rest of the schedule looks like lots of playing time for the subs.

Come playoff time things will get hot as there are some really good teams out there, NP, DTE, Perk Valley, Upper Dub, Spring Ford, and then there are some good tough teams like CB South, Pennridge, Coatesville, Ridley to name a few. The playoffs should be real interesting and a lot of fun to watch.

Marshall, Upper Dublin is playing at 5A. CB-South does look good, Their game against Pennridge will probably be for second place in the Continental.

I knew CRN would be down, but this is bad. Saw them against CBS and that was enough. The new coach is in a tough spot, they might not win a game.

I'm sure coach will keep them grounded and focused.

And then I'm not overlooking the next two games; however, if anybody recalls the seventh game of the Redskins' 2007 campaign it featured a 6-0 Neshaminy versus a 6-0 CB South. Pretty good - and pretty cocky too - Neshaminy came out on fire in that game as they quickly established a 14-0 first-quarter lead. Then with the second-quarter a stalemate Neshaminy was still in front by the 14-0 score when the teams broke for the half.

In the third-quarter a very determined Titans squad scored back-to-back six-pointers to knot it up, 14-14. Not throwing in the towel, though, Neshaminy stitched together a long drive that looked like it would payoff with a TD. Fate decided otherwise as a lost fumble at South's five-yard stripe put the champagne back in the fridge. And from there it was CB's great running back, Eric Reynolds, who gave his boys a 20-14 lead on a spectacular 95-yard touchdown run (the PAT missed).

Fighting back, it was midway through the fourth period when the 'Skins scored once more and went on top, 21-20. But Reynolds wasn't done as he piled up most of the yards on a 54 yard drive that saw the Titans go up 26-21 which is the way it ended (Reynolds banked 220 yards on 28 carries in the contest with the one long score).

Anyway, I got off the track here so the moral of the story is: "Stay awake and stay focused or you just might get smacked".

By somebody.

I yes , I forgot that UD was 5A. That said, they would look good in the 6A playoffs, wouldn't they?

CBS is a solid team. Big and physical up front. Mostly pound it, with decent team speed. You hear about schools who say their numbers are down, not at south, they have near a hundred on the team. Neshaminy will have an advantage because south will play NP the week before. Have seen both CR schools play and they are sad, but then again other then the Redskins and maybe Abington the division is just as bad so they could both be .500.
