Should be another Redskins Vs Falcons classic. Pennsbury has to be the favorite with the better record, home field, defending District Champ and having beaten Neshaminy more often in the last 5 years. That said, I am going to be a homer here and go with my Redskins in a mild upset.
The reason, while Neshaminy hasn't been great this year, they have been very competitive with the tough teams on their schedule, defeating Montclair who had a down year, but is still a talented team, CR South, who is very tough this year, Souderton who always seems to bring their "A" game to the Ridge and a pretty solid CB South in a couple of close ones, while easily handling the two weak teams on their schedule. Their only blemishes are close losses to a great Dtown West club, that while they were outplayed, they were only one play from winning. Same goes for the North Penn (who beat PHS in a tight one) game. They lost to a good and tough Pennridge team in really bad weather conditions which really favored the bigger, slower, run oriented Rams. That game is the reason the Skins are playing for their lives. I believe Neshaminy has a punchers chance against anyone in D1. They have good size, speed and skill. If Neshaminy can get up on Pennsbury and force Pennsbury to play from behind, they should manage to win the game. For this to happen, Mason Jones has to be accurate in his passes and the Neshaminy lines have to hold their own against a more physical Pennsbury team. It can be done, and in these battles between the arch rivals, anything can happen (witness the debacle at Falcon Field in 2013 which tarnished a great season by the Skins).
Unfortunately, I will miss the game as I am taking my Boy Scout Troop camping. The trials of a Civic volunteer! Hopefully, someone, Moleskinner maybe? will post periodic scores, that I can check by the campfire.
