Skins rally from a 20-7 deficit in the 4th to knock off the Falcons. Neshaminy will be the #1 seed in District 1.

What a game! And what a finish!

I was talking with Zach Tredway's Dad at half time, and he said that if both teams were told they would be 8-1 heading into this one at the beginning of the year, they would be ecstatic. He said he was surprised that Pennsbury was this good and thought the Skins would roll them. I was worried the game would go like the first half. I have seen Neshaminy look great for a drive or two, then shoot themselves in the foot and go into a funk. The O-line has struggled in pass protection all year, and teams know that if they pin their ears back, maybe throw in a blitz and get after Brody M. they can stop drives. He has had a terrific sophomore year, but he makes some mistakes under pressure (totally understandable in a HS Soph). I also said that the Skins have a knack of pulling out the close ones, and he agreed. They seem like they have had 4 or more last minute heroics along the way. That actually bodes very well for the playoffs, as they are really battle tested against some good teams in tight high pucker factor situations and found ways to win. They are scary in this way, and I wouldn't want to see them on my schedule.

I almost gave up on the Skins after the third Falcon score. I was looking at the crowd and were my car was buried in the lot, and thought that if Neshaminy doesn't score on this drive I am out of here. Lo and behold, Joel Stills takes the kickoff and breaks right, right at us Skins fans, and I see the sideline tunnel opening up. I actually had my arms up signalling TD before he got out of the shoot. Obviously I stayed, but I did make one mistake, I moved down to field level as the Skins were driving on their last drive, as I do at home games, and moved towards the exit at the far end zone, where the Neshaminy team blocked my view of the right side of the far end zone where all the action was on the last play. I could only react to the players and fans reactions. Whoops. Oh well, they one, and I got out ahead of that traffic nightmare.

Great comeback! Great game by two underrated District 1 teams. I think Coatesville and DE are probably a close 1 and 2, but I don't think Neshaminy and Pennsbury are easy outs for those guys or anyone else. Neshaminy with the 1 seed will have the home field advantage giving their very faithful and very willing to travel fans a break this year.

GO SKINS!!

I wouldn't forget about North Penn or Pennridge. Both teams playing very well right now. If Garnet Valley gets the right matchup, they could be dangerous as well after making it to District final last year.

It seems there are bunch of squads at "the top" that can bite really bite you (who do you want to play out of 1 through 8 -- or 9 on down for that matter).

There are good teams sprinkled right on through the whole bunch - none of them can really be seen as a "lay down".

Check the "Sweet Sixteeen" (off the PIAA D1 site):

1 Neshaminy
2 Perkiomen Valley
3 Garnet Valley
4 Coatesville
5 North Penn
6 D-Town East
7 Pennridge
8 Pennsbury
9 CB South
10 Quakertown
11 Haverford
12 Owen J Roberts
13 Harry S Truman
14 CB West
15 Penn Wood
16 Ridley

It seems that talent is sprinkled all over this group (some years it has been jammed up in just a few clubs). Should make for a fun playoff season.

I think Springford takes out neshaminy in rd 1 , as well I think Haverford gives d east a fight. Pennsbury and neshaminy would be easy outs for 3-6 seeds. But thats why they play the games.
