The two best offensive linemen in the EPC are off the board.

Little late on this first one, but Parkland’s Nicholas Dawkins (son of the sixers legend Darryl Dawkins) committed to Penn State. Dawkins is a three star recruit, but with tons of helium after showing his athleticism on the camp circuit this summer. He’s 6’4 300 and projects to play guard at Penn state.

Easton’s Patrick Shupp committed to Delaware. Shupp is massive (6’3 330) and has started at left tackle since his freshman season. He also plays attack on the lacrosse team and his highlights are fairly amazing for a kid his size. I could see them slimming him down at Delaware to unlock even more of his athleticism.

They’re the first two Division I guys off the board up here. Becahi has the biggest group of recruits still out there with Tavion Banks, Jerry Lyons, George French, Matt Stianche all likely FBS/FCS guys. Freedom’s trio of Jared Jenkins, Kaden Moore, and Jalen Stewart, Nazareth’s Anthony Harris, Parkland’s Ja-Lon Perkins, Northampton’s Tyrese Brandon, and Liberty’s Kendrick Wesley are the cream of the prospect crop.

Third big offensive line target is off of the board. Kaden Moore, a 6’4, 305 offensive and defensive tackle had committed to Bowling Green. Moore is a four year starter on defense and three year offensive lineman for the Patriots. He was a first team all EPC offensive tackle last year.

Bethlehem Catholic running back Tavion Banks committed to Stony Brook this morning. The Seawolves are currently ranked #23 in FCS and former Becahi safety EJ Finneran plays linebacker there.

Banks was an all state pick in 2018 and is two touchdowns away from setting the Bethlehem Catholic career record (66 by Eddie Scipio). Banks was also a D11 finalist at 182 pounds as a sophomore, but ended his wrestling career to focus on football (though he did rejoin the team just for state duals last year, where he went 4-0 with two pins).

Fun player to watch who I think could be a real star at the FCS level.

Not exactly football, but Easton junior linebacker Dominic Falcone has committed to West Point to wrestle. Falcone was a state qualifier at 170 as a freshman, and last season won D11 and NE Regional titles at 182 and placed 7th at the state tournament. He made the round of 16 at Fargo Cadets in freestyle last summer and is the preseason #3 at 182 in PA. He projects as a 165/174 in college and joins former Easton state runner up Jimmy Saylor on the Army roster.

Falcone has 76 tackles, 7 for loss headed into Phillipsburg and leads Easton in sacks with 5. He was an All EPC South 2nd team pick at outside linebacker.

Nazareth quarterback Anthony Harris makes it official and commits to Maine. Harris, a potential All State candidate and three year starter, is Nazareth’s all time leader in passing yards and touchdowns. He was the first team All EPC South quarterback this year and led Nazareth to its first D11 title since 2011.

Maine is a member of the Colonial Athletic Association, the best conference in the FCS. Maine played in the FCS Final Four in 2018.

Parkland defensive end Ja’Lon Perkins commits to Colgate. Perkins missed a chunk of the year with an injury, but was the best player on the Parkland defense down the stretch. He was an All EPC defensive end as a junior. He played his first two seasons at Dieruff. He chose Colgate over Princeton, Brown, Holy Cross, and Dartmouth.

Colgate has played in the FCS quarterfinals twice in the last five years, and knocked James Madison out of the tournament last season.

Kaden Moore is on flip watch after announcing a scholarship offer from Virginia Tech. Moore was All EPC South on offense and defense this year and is an All State candidate as an offensive tackle. The Hokies clearly likes his senior film.

Kaden Moore officially flips, he is committed to Virginia Tech and will sign with the Hokies on Wednesday.

All State candidate wide receiver/defensive back Nathan Stefanik of Nazareth committed to Princeton today to wrestle for the Tigers. Stefanik caught 81 passes for 1,099 yards and 12 touchdowns, intercepted 10 passes, and scored 20 total TDs on the season for the D11 champion Blue Eagles. He broke Jahan Dotson’s career record for catches at Nazareth during their District playoff run.

On the mats, Stefanik is a two-time medalist in Hershey, finishing 6th in the state as a sophomore at 138 and 8th as a junior at 145. He missed more than two months of his 11th grade season with a broken ankle. Stefanik is currently ranked 5th in the state at 160 pounds. Stefanik projects at 157/165 for the Tigers. Princeton is currently ranked #12 in the country and poised for their best year in school history.

He’ll join his brother Travis at Princeton, who was a 2,000/1,000 quarterback for the Blue Eagles and a state champion at 182 pounds. The elder Stefanik, a sophomore, is currently ranked #19 in the country at 184 and was an NCAA qualifier as a freshman. Former Nazareth teammate Sean Pierson, a state champ at 126 pounds last year, is Princeton’s starting 133 pounder as a true freshman.

Tavion Banks flips to Maine on Signing Day. The Bethlehem Catholic tailback was previously committed to Stony Brook. He joins Nazareth quarterback Anthony Harris in the Black Bears recruiting class. Maine advances to the FCS Final Four in 2018.
