I know this has been discussed from time to time . Im sure there are many varied reasons ,but I was curious why Penn State has not focused here with any great interest for a few years. John Reid,Ryan Bates and Shaka Toney are the only Philly guys on the roster recently , while my recent recollection is two going to Clemson[ incl this years commit], Barmore from Neuman /Gorreti to Alabama ,Swift, Webb and this year Juedy from Northeast to Georgia ,tight end from Wood to Florida and two from the Prep this year to Ohio State. Did they change their area recruiter ?? This of course are just samples from around here while there are numerous others around the state that also choose to play elsewhere. It appears to me that PSU is not as aggressive here in lieu of going to other areas such as Michigan and Florida. Maryland and Virginia were always hotbeds for the Lions. Since the high school season is still on hold I wanted to talk about something that may be of interest to psu followers. Any thoughts ??

Romeo ~ Bill O’Brien and Franklin have done a great job of bringing Penn St a player in the college playoff picture after the worst sports scandal but let’s face it they haven’t won a national championship since the 80s and the programs winning the national championship are Alabama, Clemson and Ohio State. Why would I go to State College when my chances are better at one of these schools.
Well your right and in retrospect it was a dumb post. I am just a homer and think if our guys stayed in state PSU would have a real chance for the top spot.
