You guys settle on a Qb yet? York lost their great back and wide-out but have a pile of athletes and a vet OL, roughly 6-2, 250. Viking D will likely slam the door on Bearcats offense but will Vikings have any offense? YAIAA is known for explosive offenses and little defense so you could have your way regardless. I figure it’s an upset for York just to hang unless Vikes offense that ineffective early on.

PCC Defense is stout but Rumor has it Donald will be out with a hamstring injury for a bit. Secondary has one returning starter with several kids transferring out. They do get one kid back from injury but we aren’t talking Hamlin, Garner, Petrician, etc. if teams can protect up front and run a little they can hang.

PCC offense is same as every year. Allen twins are going both ways on the line and Beatty at TE so not sure about depth. QB is Piedo from what I understand with Sunseri as a wildcat/changeup. RB is a burner but prone to turnovers.

Not knowing anything about York except what you wrote, is say pencil in PCC as a 14 to 21 favorite based on defense alone. If York can throw it a little, it could be a toss up.

Thanks New. Not sure you know the story behind York’s participation in the “Showcase”…..that the hotel rooms, food, etc are being comped (for players) through the efforts of Ron Coursey, Woodland Hills AD, who served in that role at York in 2016, 2017. Pretty exciting stuff getting to play at the Wolvarena vs a ranked team of such notoriety!
But at the end of the day it’s still guys pounding on guys with York’s Center Trey Bernstein stating “we’re fired up because of the competition and their dline talking smack on social media. We’re going to do wat we got to do, show them what we got.” Let the games begin!

Did not know that. Thx.

The event at Woodland Hills is a nice one.Week 0 in the WPIAL has allowed some of these nice matchups to happen. Lots of teams have OOC games during the season. Would be nice if those could be scheduled by the teams too, instead of the WPIAL.

If York can score, it will be a good game.
