The Skins need a quick start to this season with RC followed up by Pennridge and Dtown West. Expectations are really high, I'd say too high. The winner of the Ram-Skins match-up could provide an inside track to one of the top seeds in the D1 playoffs.

Expectations don't seem to be too high for the Whippets - lost a lot from last year. First up is Perk Valley with their new coach. Then a date with Wayne Valley from Jersey before the Skins come to town in Week 3. All three are home games which might help the Whippets through the growing pains. I'm slowly approaching the year when my rooting interest will switch to the other sideline in the Skins-Whippets match-up.

Cougars host Delaware Valley prior to heading to North Penn in Week 2. That Cougar-Knight game could be a playoff preview as it was last year. RC in Week 3 becomes interesting if they're able to beat the Skins tonight.

Nice write-up Fletchster...
If North Penn can find a way to FINALLY get that opening W against LaSalle it could be big for them. DT East has a good D and are always solid but I understand they aren't quite what they were last year, at least to start. In week 3 Pennsbury looms which is always a physical game but I like the Knights chances in that one. After that the Continental should be theirs with the only team seeming to have the horses to try and put up a fight being Pennridge. A win tonight and the Knights could have a real shot at heading into the playoffs undefeated.

Whippets lost a lot but they have a several good players returning. Riddick, Hamilton, Alleyne, Anderson plus a good QB in Geiser. My biggest question is the d line wasn't exactly the strong point last year and their success will depend on stopping the run. They have some good d backs and the offense will be solid.

DEast defense w several returning lineman and defensive backs will be the strong point. Once Lauletta gets comfortable under center they'll be a tough out in District 1.

Max Preps has the Whippets a coupe of spots higher in their preseason rankings than the Skins. I know it is just preseason and they are not totally clued in on the teams, but I agree with Chesmont that the Whippets do have some talent there and could very well be in the mix and a real challenge for the Skins. Pennridge is always tough too.

Go SKINS!

Well, the Skins came out on top of a tough one. If RC is 2-9 again, the Skins have to pick up the pace defensively.

East was in a battle with Del Val into the 2nd quarter before a red zone INT turned the tide. They rolled from there.
