I'm really happy for the kids, school, and staff. Watching those guys work their asses off with limited talent a lot of years, I know how satisfying it is for them to be able to translate that work into on the field success. The plethora of CYO kids coming to the high school, and the maturation of the youth program has helped immeasurably to have kids with good football sense and grit play ball for Gal. And, going from a mid to lower Central League team to a team always in the hunt breeds more of the kids coming back instead of doling out the big money to some of the school the Fords always lost football players to. In really happy for them.
The JV team was undefeated last time I heard, and I think the freshman had one loss. So the future appears to be bright.
By the way, there's a freshman QB that is out with a broken hand right now, that MANY think I is further along than Jack D was at the same time.....
