Who cares about LSU v Alabama -- I've got the Indians versus the Golden Hawks game to watch on the WBCB "stream".

This should be fun.

Listening as well. The Dtown game last night was an all-timer in terms of atmosphere.

At the game, thought the over-under might be 68, not so much now. Great crowd, but like Pennsbury-Neshaminy last night, there are some seats available.

Great drive by North. Bibbens is a very good receiver. McIlwain with a couple big runs. 7-0 North.

North's D looks OK tonight. Mid-way through the second and the Golden Hawks punted from mid-field after going to a fourth and four. The Indians started at their 20 after the punt hit the back ten and then quickly earned a new set of downs after taking it out to the 33 before a loose ball put them back to the 21. A nice gain put it back at the 30 and then going deep South's deep man -- Hickey -- picked off a McIlwain pass and returned it to the 30 with five minutes on the clock.

Picking up two quick first downs (with one courtesy of Stackhouse on a nice blast for 12 yards to the 8) the Hawks then punched it across in a few more efforts (with the Stackhouse getting the credit). The PAT was then squibbed and with under two minutes in the first half it went to 7-6 but still in favor of the Indians.

North defense is playing well. Haven't said that in years. McIlwain with forced pass picked off by South. Now driving in North territory.

With just about a minute to go North has moved the ball (following the kick) to South's 36 on a couple of nice runs by McIlwain (he knows the field well).

From there one effort went nowhere before North went deep and to the corner. The ball missed but a flag came out with a questionable interference call putting them at the 21. McIlwain then lugged the ball, and a bunch of South players, to the ten yard line for an Indian first and goal with just about 40 seconds on the clock.

The first shot from there was to the corner of the end zone with that aerial missing the mark. South then called a TO with 31 seconds showing and after coming back to live action good coverage by the Hawks forced Mr. M. to head out of bounds setting up a third and ten. Then, on what looked like a slant pass to a man at the goal line, the throw was low bringing up a fourth and goal with 20 ticks to go. South called a TO at that point to do some thinking.

After the brain session, North then decided a field goal made sense but the 28 yard attempt missed as it was short; however, the North sideline had called a TO just in time giving the kicker another try. another try. And that one had the distance but it veered and hit the right upright and bounced away.

South then took over and got in one play before the clock hit zero with the score still 7-6 and in favor of North.

Each team scores on the opening drive of the second half. Tied at 14, 5 min left in 3rd qt.

McIlwain goes 20 yards to give North the lead 21-14. Obviously root for both programs, but let's go North!

North blocks a South punt inside the South 10 and McIlwain takes it in for another score, 28-14 with 2 min left in the 3rd. Strange punt formation for South, the punter was only 7-8 yards deep.

Looks like that last McIlwain toss for a score may have put it away with just six minutes remaining in the fourth and a thirty-five to fourteen lead.

It's time I give the CRN staff major props for two ginormous wins in the past two weeks. I have been very critical of them over the past several years. Great job and good luck against Upper Darby.
