A little D1 high school football quiz for all the fans out there.

1. Name the four AAAA teams to not make the playoffs since 2004. HINT: one of them will be 5A next season and the other three will all be 6A.
2. There are also TEN squads that are winless in AAAA playoff appearances since 2004. One of them is Interboro, which will be 4A in 2016 with just 375 enrollment and has performed very well in AAA, and another is Cheltenham with 535 that will compete in 5A. Who are those 8 other teams that will be in 6A next year that have laid an egg in their appearances? HINTS: two are in Central/DelVal League, two in PAC and the other four are in Suburban One.
3. There are also NINE teams with just a single D1 playoff victory in AAAA since 2004. Called these cracked eggs. Especially when you see some of the enrollment numbers. Who are those 9 teams? HINTS: 4 of those teams will be 5A in 2016 (and should benefit from the drop) and the other 5 will all be 6A--another pair from the Central and a trifecta from SO. All 5 are inexplicable.

Enjoy

Welcome to the board Hermod! Off the top I'll take a shot at the first question. Bensalem, Lower Merion, Methacton and Truman. For the second question I know CRN is 0-5 in districts playoffs. Will have to research a bit for the rest.

Thanks Relayer. You nailed the 3 6A squads but Chester is the 5A. I will come back after a few weeks with the other teams. I recently found this board and find some of the topics pretty interesting. This forum is pretty well versed and in the know, so I was curious on why many of these teams have not had success. I would love to hear from those that have an opinion. Chester can be understood to a degree, but there are athletes. Bensalem and Truman get picked clean by ABW but should still have made at least one showing. Methacton is truly a mystery. Good school district, affluent areas and good youth programs. Lots of private options (LaSalle, GA, PJP, Perk School, Hill, SJP, Carroll, Malvern, LC) but this program has done a swan dive since Marinkov retired.

You are right about CRN, 6 of the other teams made only one or two appearances, hard to grasp.

A bit skewed on #2 as far as Interboro is concerned, right? Haven't they been AAA the last few years?
