anyone have any input in Drew Gordon becoming the OC at LC? Coukd be huge for the program

Co- Offensive Coordinator

Really??

If so, I guess JS rewarding Doyal for commitment and loyalty when he accepted the position. If BG is assuming a "full-time" position as OC, he really doesn't need any help. I applaud all for being inclusive and working as a collective/collaborative effort for the betterment of the team.

If BG time/work constraints are allowing him to function as an Offensive "consultant" ("Tep '15), then the "Co" title makes more sense.

Doyal? Who cares!

It would be difficult for anyone to avoid criticism as an offensive coordinator in the season after Drew and Brett Gordon left. And it would be virtually impossible for Ryan Doyal, an unknown at the time, to endear himself immediately to the La Salle faithful so used to the Gordons.
The first half of the season was a feeling-out process, and the offense was somewhat tentative. But the offensive game plan opened up as the playoffs approached, and Ryan Doyal's greatest achievement in the 2015 season was the offensive game plan against St. Joseph's Prep in the Quad A PCL Championship game. The Hawks were kept off-balance as Chris Ferguson's accuracy on medium crossing-route passes were mixed up with the running attack. Remember that La Salle came back from a 28-17 deficit with two long drives capped by Nick Rinella's miraculous catch in the end zone for the winning score. They got into position to win that game because of great play-calling by Ryan Doyal.
La Salle averaged about 27 points a game in 2015, compared to the 28 to 32 points a game in the Drew Gordon era. In the final 6 games of the season, including 4 playoff games, the Explorers averaged 33 points a game; not too shabby for a "tentative" offense.
I have no knowledge if Ryan Doyal will indeed be back for the 2016 season, but he deserves some of the credit for the achievements of a team that several prognosticators on this site had winning only 3 games in 2016. For me, that Prep championship victory will always have Ryan Doyal's fingerprints on it. Hail, La Salle!

Well said Wizard..

Brett will always be endeared as part of the LaSalle family and legacy. Heard rumors Coach Wade may be returning as well?

Any truth to the rumor that Coach Colistra is coming back to the fold?

Anyone see the '96 LaSalle campaign besides the Wizard?

Extra credit... gimme!! Who was that team's OC/DC?

I paid more attention to the '95 season as my nephew was a senior on that team.
