Nephew in Orlando checked FHSAA (PIAA equivalent) to see Apopka has open dates. They're one of the top big schools (8A) in the state (just outside Orlando) with 4 straight final appearances before last year (40-39 upset Timber Creek), winning titles in 12 and 14. Play anyone....South Panola-MS, Byrnes-SC, Miami schools. One of top coaches in Rick Darlington. Disney in Lake Buena Vista just down the road!

Prep would destroy Apopka. The 8A schools in Florida generally aren't that good, at least when it comes to taking on national powers like Prep. It's the smaller schools that tend to be private (or smaller public schools) who get the players. Aquinas is 7A, Miami Central is 6A, Booker T. Washington is 4A. I would guess that Apopka probably wasn't even one of the top 30-40 teams in Florida this year. Prep would be favored by 28 or more.
