Would like to get your thoughts on the 6A Semi-Finals in District 1.

Pennsbury - Coatesville
Pennridge - Garnet Valley

What do you think about these matchups? Any impressions of the teams from seeing them play? Keys to the games? Early pointspreads/predictions?

Can GV rise to the occasion again after expending so much time and energy on the comeback over NP? I don't know much about Pennridge other that Tarburton being a PSU pledge

Coatsville has too much offense for Pennsbury to compete with. I like Ortega s ability as a dual threat QB and the Young brothers add firepower as well as their other receivers. Coatsville wins easy. GV is relentless on offense and well coached as far as I can see. I was as shocked as everyone else at their comeback Friday night. North Penn looked to have superior athletes and DePaul was hitting their wr with ease in the first half. It was great watching it on u tube. Pennridge has a very tough group of players as usual and their defense has been very good . I like Pennridge in a slugfest. No matter ,Coatsville rolls to the D-1 title IMO.

Hood....interestingly this is right where C-ville and G-Val were last year, in the semi and there's nothing like home sweet home in the playoffs. Pennsbury will need to get on their horse to keep up with these thoroughbreds and the Falcon need to be ready for a smash mouth brawl with the Jags. Tarburton will help set the tone on D for that so it should be a game with every possession counting. G-Val’s rush D is well under rated.

Coatesville 48-14, gv 28-21. Coatesville with athletes all over the place, garnet wears you down, kids stay fresh and they do what they do well and don't stray or panic. Good size on o-line, smallish on d but good against run.

Looking forward to Pennridges stoudt run defense against Garnett Valleys rushing attack. Will the better passing team slip out as the winner? Coatesville s offense is tremendous and no one has stopped this year yet. To boot the defense is playing its best ever under Ortega stopping a very potent DEast team and doing a pretty good job in a loss against Cumberland Valley earlier this season. Always a possibility the Raiders could pull a Notre Dame (and I’m a fan) but doubtful. Good luck to all this weekend.

Not a big follower of Garnet Valley, but they were the best team at the tru-scrimmage with Neshaminy and Downingtown East in my opinion. My question is about their QB. Said in paper was their 3rd string QB. Was he a starter prior to the North Penn game or was it his first plays under center vs North Penn?

I like Coatesville big by 3 TDs. Garnet Valley wins a close one. But if Tarburton makes them play their 4th QB game, then game over.
