Delco Christian cancels the football season?

I find it strange this article was published just two days ago on their upcoming season. It sounded very positive.

I take it many schools like New Hope are scrambling to fill the void in the schedule.

Why do some small schools get 30 kids out and others cannot filed a team? Saw today Bristol has 18 kids out. Schools should know in the spring what their numbers look like. Then again teams should wait until mid season before taking the team picture for the year book.

If the season was cancelled because number of kids why don’t they have a combined Devon Prep - Delco Christian team like they do for lacrosse? I’m sure both schools have alumni money backing. They could play in Bicentennial or PCL small division. Further.. I don’t know why HGP doesn’t have a team or co-op w one of the Christian Schools up there in Bucks Co/NE Philly.
