D11 voted today to do away with home field advantage though out the playoffs in the new system. Quarters and semis will still be hosted by the higher seed, but the final will move neutral, likely either BASD or JBC.

I know this is how it's done literally everywhere else in the state, but I think there is something lost not playing these games on campus sites. And with so many of these teams playing each other during the year, it detracts from whatever meaning the regular season has. In my opinion, it's too bad.

At least you guys have great facilities up there. In District 1 it doesn't take away from the regular season because the seedings are never very accurate to begin with. North Penn has won so many playoff games on the road I have lost count.

I like the higher seed getting the home field too Rover but good point on seeding Relayer. 3 allows HF throughout playoffs until the final, where they face off at Hershey.

It makes more sense in D1 and D3 where you have multiple conferences and such variety in their schedules. There are only 14 D11 teams in 6A, and Easton, Parkland, Liberty, Emmaus, Freedom, Nazareth, and Northampton, all play each other, as do Stroudsburg, Pleasant Valley, the two Pocono Mountains, ESS, Allen, and Dieruff, plus there is divisional cross over.

Lafayette would be an ideal facility for finals. Not a home field for anybody, turf, and 13,500 seats. Also a (slightly) better parking situation. Not sure their event people would want games the weekend after Easton-P'Burg though, that's already enough of an operation.
