In the most shocking result up here from last night, Northwestern Lehigh and Palmerton both came into the 3A final undefeated and ranked 6th and 7th in the state.
It was an absolute woodshedding by Northwestern Lehigh. They led 43-0 at halftime, and held all state candidate Matt Machalik to 80 yards rushing and 46 yards passing after he came in with 2,167 yards rushing and 1,527 yards passing. He’s the first player with 5,000 career yards rushing and throwing, but stood no chance yesterday.
