For a couple of weeks now the Inquirer has been posting the statistical leaders. At QB the same 3 have been the top 3 for a few weeks now.

1- Reece Udinski, North Penn
2- Stephen Sturm, Perk Valley
3- Mason Jones, Neshaminy

All three teams are undefeated and look to be the top three seeds in districts.

So...who would you rather have? Who do you think is the best? Who do you think is the most important to their team? Debate.

NP QB is a stud. General with a Rifle. He's got my vote. The best I've seen this year

Stephen Sturm. He can really spin it. Good size and I think he makes everyone around him better.

Without Sturm ,PV goes nowhere. With that being said, I would take Udinski as my choice.

Really like Udinski and Sturm, have seen them in season and out. Sturm really throws a nice tight ball. But Boykin at Imhotep is better than both in my opinion.

Sturm, over Udinski by a hair. His ability to move around and keep a play alive is fantastic, and when the defense is reeling he can make you pay.

TD I don't know if he is way better. I love his deep ball, not sure his arm is as strong. Tep just beat Malvern down, NP didn't. I cannot wait for playoffs to really see this thing happen because right now NP hasn't played anyone since lasalle. This schedule is horrid, they have to get through SF, Coatesville, PV, Nesh. So what I am saying is, you have a point for sure, but playoffs will really show us, don't you think

I didn't mean to say NP played Malvern, I know they didn't play. The chain is TEP beat down Malvern, Malvern beat lasalle similar to NP beating Lasalle. So not like NP put a huge beating on lasalle. So I saw advantage boykin there.

Boykins is similar to an Alabama signal caller. He's surrounded by a ton of talent. I.e Ken Dorsey ( Mia super team),McCarron, and Coker

I'm not taking anything away from Boykins, i've seen him play since he was 7 and is a very good QB. He has dominated since he was a Freshman. I understand TEP killed MP but that's 1 game and i'm sure he did well and plays good every game. That being said he plays in the PUBLIC League on a weekly basis, Del Val, West Philly, NE Cmon thats not DT, CBE,CBS, CBW, PBurry, which Udinski sees. My point is i just think i would rather have Udinski but i wouldn't mind Boykins

Well Udinski is that classic tall drop back passer. I think Boykins and Sturm have stronger arms. I find it crazy that none of them are already committed somewhere. I have watched the kid from Malvern also. Maybe it is the year difference....Udinski is smoother in my opinion than him right now.

where does Boykins currently hold offers to?

Do you guys think he's better than Imhotep's previous QB that's now at Ship?

Malvern QB is overrated. PC QB is better then Malvern. Not sure if Boykin holds an offer. Butler (Roman) holds an offer which i hope he accepts fast because i don't see any more coming for him.

Someone will swoop in and offer him for another position. Perhaps DE. I wouldn't say TE because he doesn't move well at all.

I agree, PC Qb wants to go the Ivy League route I spoke with his father at a few training sessions last year.

If Butler don't accept MSU offer he'll probably go the baseball route. He holds an offer in baseball also.

I'm not quite sure where you're getting that information. Anthony did not even play baseball last season. He has never played in a varsity baseball game while at Roman.

Where is his baseball offer from?

He was reported having his scholarship for baseball in his sophomore season. My son left last season and we heard it since he began at Roman in 2014.

Butler has ZERO 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 baseball Offers lol cmon now. That is just absurd. I know every Roman Baseball Coach and they would probably laugh if i asked them that question. Some that don't follow football if i asked does Butler have an Offer there answer would be "WHO"?

I know nothing about baseball I wouldn't pick this out of the sky. I'm pretty sure if you're close to the program( football) you'll hear the same.

I am close to both an he does not have an offer in baseball. He has never even stepped on a varsity field for Baseball. Any kid can say they have an offer, my kid has an offer to hes 5

That's true although I never speak to children about the game. I'm just a graduate of Roman and follow the team bc I'm still in the area.

Mason Jones' Dad is longtime (18 years) Redskin coach Ray Jones. As a result Mason has grown up on "The Ridge" and is one of those "core" players every program and coach needs to have out on the field.

Jones is listed as 6'-3" and 196 pounds and he's been starting since the second game of 2014 which was his sophomore year and also the transition year for Neshaminy after Coach Schmidt's departure (in 2013 he did get a little time as a freshmen and with that great team as made it to the Eastern Championship game with St. Joe's).

His won-loss stats over the three seasons, and the 30 games he's led the troops, are 21-9 overall. Five of those losses were in his sophomore season (the 'Skins were 4-6 that season) and so as a junior, and then to date this year as a senior, he is 21-4 overall for a winning percentage during those two years of 85%.

Over the past three years he's thrown the ball 561 times with 299 completions for a 54% completion rate (his total yards are 4,591). And then during that time he's also thrown 41 touchdown passes against just 11 interceptions.

Continuing to improve, this year's stats (through 8 games) shows he's completed 97 out of 186 he's thrown for 1,940 yards with 22 aerial TDs against just 2 picks (and one of those bounced off the receiver's hands with the other resulting from his being hit just as he was throwing it -- in other words, he doesn't throw too many up for grabs).

He can also run if need be (he had over 500 yards last season). This year, though, they have kept that out of his play calling (he's had a few when necessary).

He's also on the cusp of breaking Langhorne's all-time single season record for TD passes (Pete Cordelli has owned it since 1971 when he tossed 24 so with 22 already you'd expect Jones will eclipse it shortly). As to his overall career stats, I'd suspect he probably already has the records for total yards and TDs thrown.

He's apparently a great kid too and has great leadership skills (obviously).

We like him and there's no doubt that everyone in The Tribe is behind him -- 100%. And it's great too that he's a dyed-in-the-wool Redskin (the kind we love up there).

Go 'Skins!!

Mason Jones is a player!! I can tell you that he was the difference in that Roman game week 1.
What kind of college interest is he getting?

Sturm. NP kid puts up numbers against nobody's. One good game against LaSalle this year. NP goes out of its way to pad his stats, throwing the ball up 33-7. My understanding is very stats driven, likes shotgun and lets sling it. Pouts if he doesn't throw for 300. Better than Jones though.
