North Penn the overwhelming favorite with Downingtown East, Garnet Valley, Neshaminy, Pennridge, Perkiomen Valley, Ridley, and Springford having solid teams.

Pennridge at Perk Valley will help provide the PAC 10's level of play in 2016.

Springford has a tough road trip to Wilson.

Roman Catholic at Downingtown East might give a hint as to Neshaminy's chances versus NP.

Ridley at Garnet Valley will be a battle between two probable playoff squads.

Neshaminy looking to avoid 3 straight losses to Downingtown West.

Im not sold on Ridley yet. They may be a playoff team only because the Central League is really really down this year. Stoga is horrible, UD plays no defense and Haverford is down as well. Springfield will give them a game, but even so that puts them at 8-2 or so and a playoff team.

Just to put the league in persective-Stoga was blownout by an average at best OJR team. UD gave up 28 to Bonner-who was just throttled by Ryan. Haverford, who Ridley squeaked by, lost to a below average Chester team which just gave up 50+ to SpringFord.

I think the league games will be very competitive from here on out-but outside of the league-not so much.

Fletch - I didn't realize DWest had beaten Neshaminy 3 years in a row. One certain writer (initials NH) here in Chesco always writes a blistering column how the Chesmont can't compete against the SOL. We certainly don't have the same # of state championships or district titles but we've beaten several of the schools over the several last years. That writer needs to check his facts before writing articles. With that said I'm looking forward to seeing Neshaminy Fridaty night. Already impressed w North Penn as these two are the favorites.

West won last 2 years, Neshaminy won 39-0 in 2013.
West has given up 42 and 34 points in 2 pretty close loses. Hopefully a good game, could be pretty high scoring on fast track in Downingtown...West should be hungry for win and a Nesh win should lock up undefeated season, as National is struggling...

Chesmont League -

I see BucksFB cleared up the won-loss over the last three years ('Skins took 2013, 39-0, and then D-West took the "W" in 2014, 28-7, and again in 2015, 20-14).

And I know that Neshaminy takes the Downingtown schools very seriously with the series dating back to the 1980s when it was still one school out that way. They played three times in that decade with Langhorne taking all three while they then met once more in the playoffs (2001) with Neshaminy coming out on top in that one as well.

Then Downingtown East and the 'Skins have played twice (2005 and 2008 - both in the playoffs) and it's 1-1 while West holds a 2-1 lead as described above and with three games played (all regular season, obviously).

Course, the game that is burned in our minds is the 2005 playoff game with East which the Cougars took, 45-38. Neshaminy was up 38-28 (as I recall) with six minutes remaining in the fourth period when East's great QB (I still can't say his name) personally forged their comeback (what a player).

The Redskins are very focused on this one (no question) knowing the D-Town schools are always tough.

Thanks for the history Bucks and Mole. Not to get off topic but Neshaminy had a terrific/miraculous comeback at Coatesville several years back and that one was hard to forget. With West being down 0-2 I have to agree they'll be hungry and hopefully make it a decent game. (I fully expect Neshaminy to win). Normally I miss these games because I attend most DEast games but the Cougars have Roman at home Saturday. I think that will be a good one too.
