Saw a tweet for Rick Obrien saying NG's game cancelled due to 5th year players. This was discussed on this forum previously. Have seen it happen dozens and dozens of times in various sports. Shocked PIAA paying attention. Implication was NG opponent had 5th yr players?

Interesting. Was not aware of this when I sent the original message out. I am waiting on another game involving PCL/Inter Ac Game at the shore today...

Opponent is "The Avalon School" which is a private all boys school in Maryland. They most likely have 5th year seniors, no different from Inter Ac or other private schools. In years past , the simple solution has always been a gentlemans agreement between the schools not to play the 5th year players. Not sure why that was not done in this case?

For the past I don't know how many years I have seen dozens of kids who reclassed as sophs or frosh in the IA play PCL or Pub teams. All different sports...football being the least of it. Just read any article about a kid committing to a college. Played frosh and soph at X school and reclassed at X school. Never been a "thing." Is it a thing?
