Big game is finally here

Can DT East simply outmuscle West on the lines, or will Milano find more tricks up his sleeve to win a shootout?

Should be a great crowd, hopefully will be another legendary East/West game-can't wait to head to Kottmeyer this Friday

It's HS football and in most cases, having talent and winning is a cyclical thing, even the NP's, Neshaminy's and the Ridleys aren't completely immune to it. Sometimes the talent comes in bunches yet for certain schools, the down cycles mean you go 7-3 instead of 10-0. I don't know which of these schools they would be comparable to size wise had they not split but they did and to be sitting here in 2015 with both Dtown teams running #1 and #2 in D1, it's pretty cool. Who knows how far they'll go in the districts - which is how they'll eventually be judged - but for this season and for at least the next two weeks they've been the talk of D1 and SEPA HS football. This Friday will be great for both programs and the community in general. It will likely be SRO an hour before kickoff.

Great summary Ches2, fun time for the town (West people will say towns, Lionville:) great season for both teams and should be a good one. I'd have to say East is the favorite going in as they seem to be firing on all cylinders...
Come Playoff time Kottmeyer will be going Fri/Sat.

My kids have attended school on both the East and West side. One thing I'll admit since the Coatesville - Downingtown series went down a notch since playoffs then the school split this series has sure turned out to be great one in Chesco and I guess district 1. East is my pick due to how great the defense is playing. Don't throw at #2 or run at 46 or pass and #6 is gonna sack you. With that said throw out the records and this game is anybody's to win. Chesmont games are always competitive but this one is the biggest in recent league history. Good luck to the Whippets and Cougars!
