Congrats to the prep

Congrats to the prep .
Not a big fan of open enrollment
But they played a great game.
Got a chance to see swift play in person
A few times .I hope the prep fans enjoyed it
Players like him are truly special they dont come around very often .

Although pcc shit the bed, congrats to btm2070 , bighead 75 and the rest of the prep faithful on their 3rd state title.
Couldn't even congratulate the Prep faithful without a qualifier. lol . After seeing you all worked up in the last week, I expected nothing less from you. Congratulations Prep.

Another one comes out of the woodworks. I spoke the truth, pcc stunk, said congrats. What do you yo yo's want . Worked up because someone called a simple hs game prediction baseless and my opinion crap. Frankly don't a shit if your a coach or Gabe himself, it's simply a score prediction that someone asked for. Can't help it if prep faithful are that sensitive and attack others if you cross the mighty prep. Picked who I picked. Congrats again to the prep, 3 titles in 4 years, great feat, tremendous team, great timeouts by Gabe at end of first half. Happy now.

Tired of you stir the pot people. Got more spine and backbone than you my friend. Not little either, nice screen name.

Yes sir, having some fun. Don't back down from a challenge, never will. Good stuff by all. My prediction for next year, np vs coatesville in d1 championship game, np moves on to face prep again. Hearing Malvern prep qb is choosing to transfer to np or LaSalle. The pot is stirred. Goodnight to all, have to get my beauty sleep. Have to make some people's lives a little better tomorrow.

Turns out the State Championship game was actually played on Dec 3, at Northeast HS. (yes, a not-so-subtle attempt to change the tone of the posts...)

It's "they're not done!!" .... Watch your knuckles as the rulers are coming out. Just messing.. I'm sure it was autocorrect. I do agree they are not done.

So who's next in line at Prep? Went from Reid and Zaccheus ( Spelling), to Swift. Already know Darryle Simmons is a D1 propect. As a PSU fan this peaks my interest. Any young studs to look out for?

I have to tell you, that light you see coming is a train. They are not done. Next year the PCL won't be any closer. Their line will be bigger, stronger and faster, and you go from Swift to Waller to some other good ones waiting. You get McCray as a Sr with a kid who is a frosh who is waiting his turn, may push McCray a little next year. I am not a prep guy, just a guy who watches. A little early for this talk, I don't want to turn the page too soon on guys who did a heckofa job. By the way...when do talk about the Northwest Raiders winning pop warner AGAIN. Whooo....let the open border talk intensify. Ha.

I must say I was very impressed with coach Infante's halftime interview ie his concern for pcc qb who almost had his head taken off and probably shouldn't have played in second half. Yes the raiders rb are prime pickings and I hear I guy td up in north Penn area is a big prep recruiter. I think np with Doyle and prep are heading for a clash again. Should be great.

Just to note that Waller is now a senior. They have a freshman RB who played some varsity this year and who looks very promising.

Hey Tull...yeah I missed that. To be honest, the last thing I am worried about with Infante is a premier back. You don't want to make it seem like a Swift comes down the road often, he doesn't. But the truth is the young players they have have, have all the pedigree if not more of the departing ones. Will they have the hunger? Who knows right.

Aaaah, Fletch you are as transparent as can be. Could be wrong, looks like they won the heaviest or heavier division. Which means you have older boys, who are what...7,8,9 graders. Like you I discounted this a few years ago, until I saw the boys appear at Tep and Prep, etc and do really really well. You are thinking your Neshaminy JV and frosh are getting better instruction, etc. I think there is something to the success. Again, we'll see right.

I understand the pipeline is strong, but I'll believe next year'a OL being bigger, meaner, and better when I see it. Let's not underestimate how dominant that group was this year. Arguably, one of the best units I have ever seen in the PCL. And most, if not all, started this year with considerable experience. I think it's far-fetched to believe that next's year group will be as good as this one.

Furthermore, Swift put them on another level. That won't be there next year. And to continue, I can make a strong case that Terrance Greene was one of the five most important players to this SJP team. Super player, who was dynamic and the perfect compliment to Swift and the running game.

McCray and Simmons will be a nice duo and a good start. Look for Jones, Mason (Maybe he gets moved to WR), and Burrell to shoulder the load at RB in terms of current varsity players.

Where I do think they'all improve, maybe tremendously, is on defense. Many starters, contributors are returning. They have a nucleus inplace to be a dominant group.

The defense next year is going to be strong and FAST. Dandridge, DeIulius, Cobaugh, O'Connor, Snider, Talley, Wallace, and Bryce all back.

James Cherry, who has struggled with injuries, will be a multi-position weapon for the prep next year. Good speed and playmaking ability.

Offensively, start with the fact that Prep will return a state championship winning QB who threw for over 2000 yards as a junior and has very good mobility.
I feel that McCray is very underrated/overlooked. I would have to assume that he will only improve. At this time his supporting cast seems to be a mystery to some however he wont lack weapons by any means. Simmons will lead that cast. If Cherry can stay healthy he seems to be a big part of the offense. Burrell is a freshman RB who got some time this year in clean up minutes. He is explosive. I know they have good stock in OL in their program. They do a great job of coaching up the OL there. They will be fine upfront.
Defensively they return a bunch of starters. Talley and O'Connor at LB add in another Johnson brother coming through the program as well. Bryce and Wallace on the DL and Deiuliis at safety. They will be strong enough defensively to win games early even if the O has early season struggles.
I agree, they are far from finished.

Listen, this doesn't bring me joy at all. I am philadelphia guy, who now roots for all of southeastern pa. But Huck they have so much size and strength in 9th, 10th grade you may be able to outfit a couple good high school lines with it. Gabe is on top of the world right now. The only good thing is even with Swift it took a lot to beat NP. So maybe dominance is a foregone conclusion right.

Again, I'm on board with the pipeline being stacked. I'm on board with them replenishing. I'm on board with them being really good next year. All I'm saying is that don't easily dismiss how good that OL was and how hard it will be to get to that level again next year. They averaged 6'3"+, 287-lbs. But more importantly entered the season with oodles of experience. Next year's line won't have any of that experience. That matters. I'd be very surprised if next year's unit is as good. I'll stick with my logic.

Got you all worked up Jack!! Why so angry? Why the name calling? And whose life are you making better? LMAO. nobody cared that you made a prediction, or that you went out of your way with "what ifs" to pat yourself on the back with the NP/SJP game. Awful lot of comments from you regarding Infante and Prep. Perhaps a disgruntled NP fan dying to make a boundary argument or something.

Raiders won the biggest pound. Most if not all of their players are in High school. Imhotep have first dibs on those guys if they plan to leave their schools. I believe of their top backs one may already attend Imhotep. Their top back a speedster I'm unsure about, but he'll need to grow a little. They'll probably stay away from Prep knowing they have a stud their already in the kid that played varsity minutes this year.

The best RB on that team did not play in Disney. His name is Carl Jones and he is a freshman at Imhotep. He's very good and apparently looking at Wood next year.
The RB who carried them was a kid by the name of Zamier. He is very small. Not sure of where he will go. Most of those kids traditionally go to Imhotep. I'm not sure that is the case going forward.
There are many kids on that team in 8th grade but not all are in 9th.
One thing is certain, 3 national championships in a row shows that there is a TON of talent coming out of that program! They are also very well coached there.

Huck I will buy that logic. I don't like to turn the page too early because those kids who did perform on the lines deserve their spot in the sun. Let's give them that I agree.
I think the interesting line would be how much talent can overcome lack of experience. Not sure that gives the rest of the pcl a chance, but certainly a state title next year is not a given.

Where did football fan come from. Nice of you to chime in. Not disgruntled, np played prep tooth and nail. Great season. Have a nice winter.
