Comey fired

Why is the AG, who recuse himself from the Russia investigation, suggesting the head of said investigation be fired? What a circus.

Like I said the people who voted for this con artist will stand by this

Sammy, If Clinton wasn't such a God awful candidate it would not have gone that way. The Dems ran a horrible campaign as evidenced by who won!
It's not standing by a candidate so much as it is a system, and I stand by ours to work this out through our democratic process.

You and others keep pointing out "well the Dems ran a horrible candidate"....you guys had 17 choices and you picked the worst of the bunch. You picked him after he refused to show his taxes. After he denounced POWs. After he showed all the traits of a 5 year old. You picked him out of 17 choices and then you ran him against a crappy Dem candidate.

This is on you guys who voted for him and stand by him today because he has an R on him. You put party before country and this is the price we all pay.

Stalker I agree but look at what is going on here . this has nothing to do with Clinton.

AND THE CROWD GOES....silent!
No, we are just sitting by watching you and Snowflake, mostly, go back and forth, and are very much enjoying the entertainment. The bet is on what it will take to get both of you into mental rehab! And emotional rehab too!

And now this...

Days before he was fired, James B. Comey, the former F.B.I. director, asked the Justice Department for a significant increase in resources for the bureau’s investigation into Russia’s interference in the presidential election, according to three congressional officials who were briefed on his request.

Mr. Comey asked for the resources last week from Rod J. Rosenstein, the deputy attorney general, who also wrote the Justice Department’s memo that was used to justify the firing of Mr. Comey this week, the officials said.

I guess he was getting a little too close to putting it all together?

You do not actually think that Comey was doing the investigating personally?

A change at the top should not have any impact on the investigation.
If the Dems think that any undo influence is being put on the actual investigators from the new FBI chief, then I would not be surprised to see, at least, the lead investigator in front of the House Intelligence Committee.

I believe that, at a minimum, the lead investigator should testify in front of the House Intelligence Committee.
I think that would remove any concerns of impropriety concerning the dismissal of Comey.

Would that remove your concerns?

Special Prosecutor then I will have no concerns, anything less than that means this is a cover up.

That is interesting.
What type of resources would the Director of the FBI need ask the Justice Department to provide/approve?

Do you really think these people are that dumb to fire Comey in order to try to cover something up, with congressional officials being briefed on Comey's request? No need to reply. I know your answer is Yes.

There is zero relevance in Mr. Rosenstein writing the Justice Department's memo and receiving the request.

Ok to your first post about asking if the Trump people would be so dumb to fire this guy now, well would they be so dumb as to say health care would be so easy, NATO is obsolete, China is and then is not a currency manipulator, use the term alternative facts, lie about crowd size, ect ect. So yea I do think they are trying to cover this up, anyone who was involved in this investigation is gone, this is like coming home catching your wife and another man in bed naked and her telling you nothing happened and get over it and move on. Come on now. Your second post I think you need to find someone that both sides Dems and Reps agree on after that if there is no there there what ever the fu%k that means then ok. 2nd guess kind of new here what is your story? Joined 2006 but you just have 10 posts hmmmm

I hope everyone can agree that the way the firing was carried out was appalling. Trump could call some congressional leaders to inform them, but he could not--would not--call Comey and instead lets him find out from a TV report. And then in his letter to Comey he includes the self-serving and questions-raising comment about Comey's telling him three times he wasn't being investigated.

When you talk a specific topic, the same ole issues will continually coming up. You seem to have difficulty understanding the logic of this, telling us “you and others keep pointing this out”. Of course we do, we’re talking the same topic!
What exactly is it you’re putting on “you guys”? Trump may have an R on him (I have an I for the record) but millions of us, repeat….millions….selected him over other candidates, all 17, but especially over Clinton and that party’s philosophy. So of course it’s on us, that’s how we voted!!!! You have a problem with that, we don’t.
Political philosophy matters; ie the reason people vote one way or another. It’s called the democratic process (party before country?) a topic you keep reminding the board you hold little regard for. Actually many of us voted
country-philosophy over person going for the one that would secure the Supreme Court. Read some history to see what that means. We were thinking country when we voted this way, saving our country from the Left, the people burning, looting, providing sanctuary for illegal immigrants, etc, etc. We wanted this group in there.

Sammy, I mean if the Dems offered something just slightly better than Clinton….just slightly….the election would not have gone that way and subsequent issues would not have occurred.
Even Dems admit Clinton ran a bad campaign. So regardless of Reluctant wanting to get all upset about that, that’s in large part why we have Trump. The difference in the election was razor thin right? If she would have hiccupped, she would have won!

I'm not sure what your ramble was all about Stalker. You say it's the Dems fault Trump is in office because we put forward Clinton. I say you picked the worst possible pick out of 17. Is it that hard to follow? On top of that most of you on this board and the local radio shows were for anyone but Trump until your candidates fell by the wayside. But you jumped on board and now defend him at every turn. And when all else fails for backing a racist a-hole who bankrupt a casino in a year ... you blame it on the other sides weak candidate.

It's okay to not be 100% in step with the GOP. They're not going to take away your card.

I don’t defend him at every turn and realize he has grave shortcomings. Part of my beef is that you and others can’t be that honest about your side.
I’ve long stated my guy was John Kasich; me and 2 others! This was a highly qualified man who got nowhere because of the deep divide and anger of the electorate who wanted change, any change.
My view is both party’s behavior over time giving us such gridlock and distrust must share the blame. People do not vote for Donald Trump or anything similar over 17 Republican and the Democratic candidates for no reason.
As responsible individuals we all have to share in the atmosphere that denied a John Kasich and allowed a Donald Trump not only because we did or did not vote for him.

You say shortcomings. I say the most unqualified President ever.

I've said a few times if Kasich or even Paul were the R candidate vs Hillary I would have cross over. I've voted for all parties....unlike ChristieFan who just blindly pulls that lever.

Trump and me both live rent-free in your head, apparently! Stay away from tall buildings.
