Whippets take worst beating of year. What's going on down on Manor Avenue? On the other side of the coin I'm looking forward to the 10/7 matchup in Downingtown when the Cougars hosts the Red Raiders. Can't discount 5-0 Shanahan yet but they've got DWest, DEast and Cville in the next 4 weeks. Congrats to Coach Meyers for achieving this feat for the first time in school history. The Eagles will be a tough out in the 5A playoffs.

This is a little bit of a shocker to me. I thought DWEST was better than this. I thought Coatesville was pretty good, but expected a much closer contest. Was Riddick healthy for this one?

Marshall - I believe Riddick played but it's obvious the Whippets don't quite have the horses they had the last couple of years. Additionally missing the starting QB in a hostile environment certainly didn't help. On the other side this match of Coatesville's high scoring offense against a very very good DEast defense (you had to be at the NP game to understand) should give us a bar if the Red Raiders will be one of the teams to be considered w NP, Neshaminy, PV, etc.

I was at the game, Coatesville looked really sharp on offense, Young is a very special player out of the backfield. D-West was without its starting QB, they decided to play a linebacker at QB in the first half and had little success. The freshman came in to start the 2nd half and put together a nice drive but was let down by some drops from receivers and then made a bad throw for a pick in the end zone . D-West's offense is not the same as last years offense and its easy to load the box on Riddick.
