For the 5A crowd, Manheim Central drops to 4A. Other info below some of you may have missed.

According to the PIAA’s Competition Formula, several teams will be mandated to play up a class starting in 2022:
Redbank Valley (1A to 2A); Bishop Guilfoyle (1A to 2A); Southern Columbia (2A to 3A); Central Valley (3A to 4A); Wyomissing (3A to 4A); Aliquippa (4A to 5A); Jersey Shore (4A to 5A); and Erie Cathedral Prep (5A to 6A).

** Wyomissing will be slotting into Lancaster-Lebanon League Section 4 in the fall with merger of LL and Berks Conference. The Spartans fell to Central Valley in the PIAA-3A title game this past season.
** Bishop Guilfoyle won the PIAA-1A crown; Southern Columbia won the PIAA-2A crown; and Aliquippa won the PIAA-4A crown.

Anybody know when Quips PIAA appeal is?

New.............they meet today per Trib article.

The PIAA on Thursday denied an initial appeal from Aliquippa, which wants to avoid a pending promotion to Class 5A football next season.

But the appeal process isn’t over.

Aliquippa superintendent Phillip Woods said the school district will appeal again, this time to the entire PIAA board of directors, which meets Jan. 26. The outcome of Thursday’s initial appeal was determined only by the PIAA executive staff and based on paperwork alone.
