Still can't believe how that game ended. Clairton coaches have to have better control of their team and sideline----- no excuses. It's all about discipline. In a million years I could not picture that happening under any coach I knew------ taking off a helmet & throwing it at the other team's huddle???? Rushing the other team's huddle????? Unthinkable. Isn't this the team that put up 80+ points on a team and ran scores up? PIAA must address this; it actually could've turned into a mob scene and ended really bad.

Agre, the coach should be suspended for a year or the the team should be banned from playoffs for a year. No class, lack of sportsmenship.

Yes it comes from the top down

Oh Stop! It was classless, but lets not forget these are still kids.

Pros act like this also.

Yea. it happens in the pros, usually by clowns like the Clairton kids, undisciplined in their formative years and never change. Apologists and enablers like you are part of the problem.

C'mon. Clairton did lose their poise and were penalized according to the rules...eventually losing the last 22 seconds as an opportunity. That is fair. The refs and the coaches did a nice job restoring order. All this "they should forfeit next season" silliness and the like is a bit much. It is up to the coach to teach them the right way and hopefully he will be successful. If they forfeit next season, where is the opportunity to teach the lesson?

I'm not calling for a forfeit of next season but someone has to make sure that coaching staff changes things. Also I saw a post game interview with Clairton's head coach where he is almost rationalizing the actions of his players due to what he insinuated were calls going against them. Also, if you are familiar with Clairton this not the first time this kind of nonsense has happened. The last 22 seconds were going to be run out anyway---- Clairton knew they had lost the game and acted upon that feeling. Whatever, it was ugly and possibly reflects a different mentality in the WPIAL than the east.

players take on the personality of the coach, he needs to go. The school board was quick to apologize for the lack of adult supervision. I doubt their opponets during the regular season have anything nice to say about them. You are cluless!

It looked like CV with a couple of personal fouls at the end of the game was going to lose it to, but the coach called a time out and got them under control. Must be a WPIAL thing. Hope PR. handles things better tonight after the loss.

WTF, What do you mean enabler?

I said it was classless, but there are 15-16 year old KIDS. Where you perfect as a child?

Shoe, totally agree. Nate's excusing the behavior 'because they're kids'. He is clueless. These kids have had people making excuses for them since they started playing football. Unfortunately, I doubt there will be any kind of penalty handed dow.

Not at all...... never crossed my mind .When I called you an enabler I was referring to the laissez-faire attitude of you and others. For a bit there it looked like something really serious could break out on that field. What if some one in the melee got seriously injured-=--- then you would not come on here and be so casual about the whole thing. Does it take that to see it more seriously?

LSER, Kids have different way have showing emotions. Like I said, it was very classless, but those calling for a year suspension are clueless.

I am sure when you were 15-16 you showed emotion and got heated.

So punish the good classy kids at Clairton for a few bad apples, kids like LaMont Wade and others who did show class.

Almost as bad as those who thought Penn State should have been burnt to the ground cause of what an old coach did.

And CHU, Ran up the score? Give me a break, what does that have to do with anything?

Yo , Kids are 9-10 these are young adults 16-17 that should know damn well not to throw a helmet. I played with some monumental hot heads who, because of proper coaching , would NEVER consider doing that. Like I said there are some problems in the past with this team and we'll see how this is dealt with. I'm just glad I played for the coaches I played for and my kids played for the coaches they played for. Also, my father would have come out and taken me off the field immediately. Go on Clairton's twitter or facebook or whatever it's called and see how the parents and fans are reacting to this........... it tells you all you need to know.

Running up the score consistently to the point that you are close to breaking NATIONAL scoring records leads me to believe there might not be a good example of class for that team to look up to. Maybe I'm wrong or old fashion but that's how I feel.

College is young adult.

Semantics. They are a year or 2 from being recognized as legal adults. Good God.

and they are still kids, right?

Like I said, emotional game. Kids show emotion differently, but to suspend the whole program and the classy kids is ridiculous. I actually see classless acts every year in the State finals, trash talking, pushing shoving, etc..

Punish the kids involved.

I say have Clairton combine

With Thomas Jefferson and be done with it shut down the school burn down the town and put salt in the earth around Clairton.

Re: I say have Clairton combine

As a Clairton grad, What the f*ck are you talking about? Over a football game.... PLEASE...... I'm not going to excuse the action of the players here, but burning down a f*cking town? Your words are worse than the actions of the football team.

Didn't I apologize you nitwit.

When is the last time you saw a punk throw his helmet toward the other teams' huddle?

Where did I defend the actions of the Clairton player?

And the last time I saw such an action, Monessen vs Clairton earlier this year. In this case it was Monessen. And Clairton, like BG, kept their cool.

Re: I say have Clairton combine

no

Correct on both counts Chuvalo. Nobody convincing me that the team as a WHOLE does not have a problem if a few can act like that without reason? Goodbye coach....
