Well deserved, the kid is a special talent and more importantly has a great head on his shoulders. His off the field resume is just as impressive. It will be interesting to see what happens in the next year. He is projected as a first round pick in the baseball amateur draft. Also, is he a lock for USC? Brandon just spent time with PSU QB coach Ricky Rahne. He's in a terrific spot no matter what he decides. Wish him the best.

Great honor for a great player, well deserved, congratulations !!!

Brandon will skip the baseball draft and enroll early at South Carolina. Would have liked to see him on the baseball diamond for CR-North this spring and possibly switch his verbal to PSU, but have nothing but respect for the kid. He just wants to be a regular college student. Baseball will always be there in the future. Good luck to him.

From the Baseball America article, it looks like he's planning on playing college baseball in the spring? Trevor Bauer at UCLA is the only other person I remember doing that. Kind of a fascinating choice.
