Being a district 10 guy the two biggest games will be oil city and the nations leading rusher eithon knox taking on undefeated 5-0 and 4A #7 meadville and a huge rival game between 5A Erie cathedral prep and 6A Erie McDowell. Can prep break thier 2 year slump to Erie McDowell.

Some of the best games I've ever seen had ALOT more to do with rivalry than won-loss or playoff aspirations.
Some of these have both.
6-Pack............
** Wilson 4-1 at Governor Mifflin 2-3. Two Reading teams going after each other big time with no regard to records. GM has a bunch of talent but too young (?) verses Wilson's reloaded team that always gets better deeper into the season. By year's end they won't resemble the team that was pounded by Roman.
** Hamburg 5-0 at Lancaster Catholic 5-0. Pierce Morgan at 855ry/16 Tds and 6-5, 215 Qb Zander Menapace at 707py, 8/1 ratio, 67% make for a big offense. Willie Crawford will also zing it for LC at 63%, 887 and 12/1 ratio. Should be high scoring with these decent Triple-As in a LL-5 game of importance.
** Central York 4-1 at Dallastown 3-2. Central York is a scoring machine with real good skill people. But Dtown is rolling now winning 3 straight since opening losses to Hempfield and Township, catching CY off a bitter 30-28 nailbiter to South Western.
** Penn Manor 3-2 at Hempfield 4-1. It'd be just like Penn Manor to upset the apple cart by coming into Landisville and stealing one from rival Hempfield who better hadn't be looking ahead to Wilson. Knights the better bunch and far better tested but can't let down here.
** Shippensburg 4-1 at Gettysburg 4-1. Serious battle of 5A postseason hopefuls with Ship the defending MP-Colonial champ and Gburg the upstart newcomers (1st year in league) who are challenging, undefeated in division play. Ship has a little more up top with Warriors preferring to pound it with quickness on offense and a pretty stubborn D.
** Solanco 5-0 at Twin Valley 3-2. Another dangerous game with little familiarity (like Ship-Gburg) with LL-League Solanco playing former Berks Cty Conference Twin Val at TV. The Mules might throw the ball 4 times, playing smash mouth option football with 3 backs over 300 yards. TV more potential per balance if they ever get the ball back.

Pennsbury(4-1)vs CB East(5-0), this game has all the makings of a classic battle between two very similar programs. 2 of arguably the best RB’s in the SOL,( Mulbah and Shine) QB passing advantage goes to CB East but I think Pennsbury D has the upper hand.

Neshaminy(3-2)vs Pennridge(2-3) will be another great game. A must win for Pennridge to make the playoffs!

Thoughts on the Ethen Knox situation?

Oil City had wins of 58-24, 55-6, 52-20, 64-0 to start season, but lost last weekend in a close one (21-20). Throughout these 5 games, Knox has 2007 yards from 177 carries (11 ypc). He's averaging 35 carries per game. Could it be possible that if the coaching staff didn't give him the ball so much in the blowout games in weeks 1-4, they might have won game 5? 35 carries per game? No other RBs on the roster?

Big statement by the Erie cathedral prep ramblers blowing out McDowell 41-0. They are a tough out for anyone this year. I think having that early tough schedule will pay off come late November, December.
