That's a good story down in Lower Bucks, nice to see the Owls bouncing back this season. They still have other winnable games on their schedule. In reality though, the football in this area is beyond bad this year.

Nice win for Bensalem, first when over the Bucks since 1964 I believe. Bensalem has some play makers and size, but West didn't play smart. Out of position a number of times. Bad snap on a bensalem punt attempt that skipped to the punter who picked it up and ran for 40 yards because outside containment went for the loose ball. Halfback pass that went for another 40 yards to wide open receiver because dbs committed to run. Both these plays set up first half TD. QB for bensalem cut back for big gains because of defenders not staying home and poor tackling. Give Cubbage credit he must have watched the NP game films and seen a lot of things he liked.
Agree also, except for a couple of teams football in the area is bad this year.

Shoe -

Is it just me but are you getting more mellow? (Ha -- Shoe mellow!?!?)

I will say, though, that despite your being a cantankerous sort over the many years your observations have generally been on the mark (even when the truth has "hurt").

Moleskinner,

Like you i love high school football. I enjoy watching coaches who can take a public school and develop the players who show up in August into a team. I don't think there is another sport at any level that coaching has such an impact I guess we will have to wait to see whether NP or Nesh. will represent District I.
