Add CRN to the list of schools looking for a head coach.

Relayer you seem to be in loop in CR, who is the most likely candidate? Have any favorites or opinions? What will CR North be like next year without McIlwain? Can't believe they would go back with Ortman, but never know he was on staff last few years.

Not a surprising decision. Adam leaves on somewhat of a high by winning the Continental outright. He loses McIlwain and CRN is moving into the same conference as Pennsbury and Neshaminy. North still hasn't won a playoff game.

I expect the next coach to be a very safe hire. The AD is a pain to work for, plus the program probably takes a step backwards for the reasons mentioned above. I hope I'm wrong.

What is going on at CRN? It's the end of March and still no head coach? Honestly I am not surprised. No one wants to work for this inept, pathetic AD. I am totally embarrassed this person represents my alma-mater.

When an established coach like Derek Wright leaves CRN for CR-South, a school with zero basketball tradition, one must realize there is a serious problem in Newtown.

He knew he had zero chance of being good for a very long time since Brandon moved on and he most likely saw there was no talent coming up

I pretty much said that in post #3. CRN has their coach, Matt McHugh, an assistant at Upper Moteland, only 27 years old. Good luck to him, but he's going to need it.

CRN's September schedule is brutal: at Perk Valley, at Coatesville, at Neshaminy and home to Pennsbury.

Well, Relayer, old buddy, if Warden Greenbomb is still the Athletic Dictator" there, it´s not difficult to figure out what the "problem" is, is it?

Relayer you seem to be very into the CR loop. I heard two current coordinators/ assistant head coaches who work in the district didn't want to continue the process cause it took too long and we're not thrilled over some of the conditions Greisbaum was attaching with the job, mainly that the previous OC stay in that position. I know three former HCs applied. Is McHugh getting a teaching job in district? Otherwise I don't understand hiring. Also heard Ortman was on interview committee and he carries a lot of weight and knew McHugh from time together att Ursinus. So Ortman got to hire his new boss. Greisbaum's deal was keep things as close to same as last year and other guys wanted more control than he would give. I don't think McHugh goes anywhere as long as Greisbaum is there.

Good post Pafbfan. Not really in the loop that much. One doesn't need to hire Columbo to realize Griesbaum is a total control freak. I've talked to enough people "in the know", including former coaches in other sports who worked for the guy. I read the article in the Courier and his quotes registered a 10 on the BS meter. A 27 year old kid will do whatever the boss tells him. A Carey or Schmidt would have laughed the "committee" out of the room.

The irony is South has one of the best in the business, Buff Radick. Derek Wright will be much happier there. He won't have someone looking over his shoulder 24/7. Have to think the only reason Palkovics is sticking around CRN is because his whole team is returning next year. Lou doesn't need the aggravation either.

Blitz, good to see you back. As you know, we've been going through this for years. Some things never change.

.....and the embarrassment at CR-North continues. I am totally disgusted reading this. I'm glad Jen stepped up and said it, she does a great job covering the local sports scene.

"What the hell is going on out there"..

Relayer, can only assume further discourse from AD. This is bizarre, the media spokesman/intermediary for the Soviet Red Army Team was less hostile. Do we have a voice on the matter?... we are taxpayers to the school and district. Guess we need to attend next board meeting.

Tormato..

No article, just some honest thoughts on Twitter that have since been removed. The comments fit in perfectly for what I've been saying on here for several years now about the situation at CRN.

A local reporter was getting hassled at the CRN softball game yesterday and shared their displeasure on Twitter. Not positive, but I can take a wild guess who was behind it.
