Easton fumbled a snap on their opening drive, leading to a 45 yard Phillipsburg touchdown drive.

Easton gets off a good punt on drive two, downed it at the 5. Phillipsburg rips off a 75 yard run, then caps the drive with their fullback dragging an Easton safety 6 yards for a touchdown. 14-0 Stateliners as we end the first quarter.

Thank goodness this game keeps going on -- the constant in an ever changing world!

And Happy Thanksgiving to all the august members of this Board.

Red Rovers have picked it up since getting blitzed early. Fumble recovery led to a short field and a TD and will be down 14-7 going into half.

P’Burg kid makes the catch of the year on fourth and goal from the 17 after a penalty, going up over the Easton corner for a crazy touchdown and a 20-7 lead.

P’Burg converts three fourth downs, getting a 40 yard touchdown pass on a screen with a bunch of missed tackles to take a 28-7 lead

Fake punt by the Stateliners!! 55 yard touchdown run by the up back. 35-7 Phillipsburg with seven minutes left and they are pouring it on. It is their fourth touchdown on a 4th down play.

Red Rovers just had back to back late hit penalties on offense, which I don’t think I’ve ever seen before. Really melting down and embarrassing themselves while down four touchdowns now.

On the fake punt - Easton only had nine players on the field. Is that bad?

Phillipsburg with the ball inside the Easton 20 will kneel it out rather than try to crack the 40 point mark. Final score Phillipsburg 35 Easton 14.

Most points scored by P’Burg against Easton since 1969.

Sorry RN05. I hope Braido gets another 10 years. The fans who pressured Steve out, and the ones who stayed silent while it happened, deserve it.

Easton finishes 3-8. It is the fourth 8 loss season since the Red Rovers started playing football in 1894 - joining 1997, 1983, and 1972. Rovers finished winless at home, had a six game winning streak against PBurg snapped, had their first 5 game losing streak in 40 years, and their eight straight season with at least four losses - which has never happened before.

People yelling “Braido’s gotta go” as they walk down Lafayette street filing out of the stadium and getting huge cheers from the houses on college hill. Not a scene I’ve seen before.

Wow Rover. I’m sad to see Easton get beat like that. Even with a sub par year, I thought they would still beat Pburg. He’s lucky he escaped with the W last year. Happy thanksgiving to all! I hope you enjoy it with your families.
