I found Roman's discipline "problem" interesting. You can't help but notice how many times their players would hand the ball directly to an official after the play, even on several occasions when they had to go out of their way to retrieve the ball. It's a simple courtesy that seemed to be...
I watched Quakertown outplay PV in their scrimmage. I know, it's a scrimmage. If those unforeseen things that can effect a game (turnovers, penalties, etc.) are equal, this game might end up being a little lopsided. I know, it was a scrimmage.
This game, in my opinion, was played much closer than the score indicates. CBW fumbled the opening kickoff inside their own 25 yard line and played from behind for the remaining 47 minutes. And somehow still only threw 5 passes. They lack size and the offense is limited, but they played with...
Pennridge is advertising there will be no tickets sold at the gate for the 3A semifinal tomorrow night. All tickets must be purchased online through the PIAA. Is this PIAA greed? They've got a reputation...
Is this the case for every game this weekend? If so, why? If not, why?
Having the Nuemann-Goretti vs. Wyomissing game at Pennridge Friday night seems a little out of place, but since it's so close to home maybe I will go. They should have scheduled this one at Ridley, too, on Saturday afternoon.
I guess I will have to wait until Thursday to see this Quakertown team, but I really wish I could get there tonight. It should be interesting. It seems like most people, myself included, are doubting them simply because they are Quakertown and have little playoff history, but they just keep...
I remember talking to a woman from Garnet Valley at a playoff game at CB South a few years ago. She told me it took her over two hours to get there. Recent trips down the Blue Route are much better than in the past as far as volume goes, but it's still pretty bad.
Pennridge vs. Pennsbury was downright unbearable. I can't see Pennridge vs. CR North being any better. Unless you're a student or a parent save your $5.
That said, maybe I'll pop in on Haverford vs. Ridley since I will be in the area.
For what it's worth, I left the Parkland/Pennridge/Souderton scrimmage thinking none of the teams stood out above the others. Considering Pennridge looked like absolute dog crap offensively and Souderton held their own against North Penn I have no idea what that means for Parkland. They had some...
I have been there a couple times and, aside from finding somewhere to park, it's fantastic. I completely agree about the importance of keeping it in the same location. When you you see all the people walking the streets to the stadium it's not hard for your mind's eye to see it in black and...
Nase was pretty active on Twitter this weekend and his bio still lists him as the head football coach at Cheltenham High School. Strange. It's not as strange as P-R, but it's strange.
@ Speed...was thinking something along the same lines.
Why can't the PIAA show a little bit of common sense? I know...because they're the PIAA and history has shown they have no idea what common sense is.
Upper Dublin is playing a team from Erie.
Governor Mifflin is playing a team from north of...
