    RC transfer to NG..District 12

Marvin Harrison's kid transferred to the Prep. I guess that LaSalle program is in horrible shape. Lets all play dumb here

Embarrassed to be a Roman Fan

Tulla not to bring up an argument from 10 years ago (haha) but I recall in 2007 Roman's passing game being more of a threat than the Prep's. Roman had the leading receiver in the PCL with Desiderio and a Florida State recruit as the 2nd option. And if anything the conditions played to the...

    2017 Coaching Landscape

Lasalle or Prep don't have to give full scholarships. They can get in the ball park of what a kid at Judge or Roman would normally pay. So are you gonna go to the Prep for 8k or Judge for 6k. Logical parent is sending there kid to the prep at that bargain.

    2017 Coaching Landscape

Plain and simple, schools like Roman are content from an administration standpoint being over capacity in enrollment. They are in the process of building brand new academic facilities and expanding. The only fundraising that is important is to help that cause. They have zero interest into...

    D'Andre Swift

I'm not surprised at all. Philly Football on a national level has always been looked down upon. Its only recently since we joined the PIAA that the rest of the state knows it exist. Any local players who have gone outside the mid atlantic/northeast region have always had to earn their respect...

    Phila Pub League

Ted's retired, has his website and can do whatever he wants. There was more of an incentive to cover the public league when he was working for the Daily News. At this point in his life, its too much hassle. If you followed Ted's site throughout the years you can see the growing frustration he...

    Denied 5th year by PIAA?....

Hey Owl, if the Wood issue is something you need to get off your chest then start a thread and people will comment. This thread is important because hopefully parents/players will learn from it and maybe when they choose a high school out of 8th grade it's the one they plan on spending for the...

    Denied 5th year by PIAA?....

Perfect example of the way high school football is run in the year 2016 all across this country. Kudos to the PIAA and the league for not allowing this to happen. Parents and players think they can just dictate every situation in high school sports. Particuarly football and basketball in this...

    PCL Free Agency has begun

So the kids from Judge and Neumann that went there had no prior contact with an Imhotep coach prior to leaving? Gimme a break

    PCL Free Agency has begun

Not one bit surprised. The Woods and Imhoteps will continue to do this until somebody has the balls in the Archdiocese/Public League/District 12 to step in Can i play devils advocate in regards to Roman.....Doesn't Roman's basketball team do the same thing? A kid will never transfer just to...

    2015 Class AAA #Golden 33 Discussion

Post Season individual awards should be strictly based on performance, not which college they are going to. If the kid only had 700 yards regardless of the amount of games he played, that does not constitute a good enough season to warrant statewide recognition

    Plc joke

Its a different time and place now then in 1999. While the Catholic was very competitive and balanced in the late 90s, you don't have the DOMINANT few teams like today. And its gonna be that way for the foreseeable future

    Inter-AC Football

The issue with the InterAc joining with the PCL is the 5th year issue. Schools like Chestnut Hill, Penn Charter, and Haverford School make a living on getting those 7-8-9th graders and repeating them to get adjusted to the heavy school load. All things aside, would love to see the Prep, Malvern...

    What happened to Roman???

Recruiting is one thing. Recruiting to give scholarships is another. Parents want to know the final number that's coming out of their pockets. Every parent thinks their kid is worth a free scholarship. Romans previous staff was scolded for having their own fundraising account by the administration.

    What happened to Roman???

I'm saying the overall top to bottom competitiveness in the catholic league is over. They will still produce great teams and great players. But the days of parity in the PCL is over

    Judge - Prep

Judge for whatever reason has always played the Prep tough. I'm not shocked it was a hard fought game from the Crusaders

    What happened to Roman???

Here's my 2 cents on the Catholic League as a whole... And it's not a positive one. It's 2 fold: The current state of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia at all levels is so fragile that it's going to be almost impossible for schools like Roman, Judge, Ryan, Neumann to field a football team that...

    SJP-Malvern Prep

"Infante, like those who will contend for PCL & States primarily concerned on how they are in Nov./Dec., IMO....... Big boost for MP though, mostly erases bitter taste of LS loss." So what your saying yesman is Prep coming off the bye week vs a hated rival is a game that doesn't mean anything?

    Roman Job

Pafb, The moral of the story is the principal there is inept and needs to retire yesterday. He runs the show. Brian Conroy stepped down in '07 as an asst coach. Conroy is head of academics and in fact has had a few head bumps with the principal regarding other issues in the school. Last year...

    Roman Job

Kit You obviously know nothing about the situation. Joe brough Sean on from IHM and after one year brought him up to varsity. Joe and Sean got along very well. Everybody is making this out to be a situation that was in total disarray from a football perspective. It was not. The coach and the...
