    PIAA District 1 Playoff Predictions

Does anyone know if the South/Coatesville game is being streamed?

    SJP

Full disclosure, I did not see or listen to the game between the Prep and St. Peter’s last night, but read an article that stated the the Prep held the #7 ranked team in NJ to 28 total yards for the full game and forced a running clock for the full 2nd half even without the services of their...

    RIP Ted Silary

It’s a sad day for anyone who has followed Philadelphia area high school sports over the years. The local HS sports scene lost a true legend and a gentleman. Rest easy, Ted.

Easton 0-4 for the 2nd Time in 120 years of football

Rover, that is a tough one. I’m sure there are a lot of frustrated fans in the Valley. Easton is a proud, legendary program, I have no doubt they’ll bounce back. Only 2 0-4 starts in 120 years of football is a really incredible stat.

    Malvern - La Salle

Anyone at this game that can provide a report? I’m surprised by both the margin and shutout. I can’t remember the last time a La Salle offense failed to score.

St. Joseph’s Prep: First 4 games

Never mind…just saw the other post. Tough loss! I agree with your assessment of transfers and the challenges of assimilating to a different academic environment.

Tulla, did Heard transfer? I thought he was a Junior last year.

    Prep 21-0 1st Q

I have to admit that I was very surprised by this margin of victory. Save the Roman letdown, La Salle has looked solid in almost every aspect of the game all season long. I did give the Prep a slight edge in the rematch, but I thought it would be much closer and that the Prep defense would...

Just checked the Penn football schedule and they are away at Harvard during the weekend of the 12th-14th. Also looks like their Sprint football team, which also uses Franklin Field, ends their regular season today. Not sure what others teams may use the field, but it’s potentially open for a...

Good stuff, RCH…thanks for sharing. I don’t have any info, but I suspect that the La Salle coaches would want to take advantage of being the home team, so my best guess will be Springfield-Montco, but I’d love to see this rematch under the lights at Franklin Field.

Tulla, I took my daughter to the North Penn/CB South game as she’s at South now, so was only able to listen on the car ride home as that game started 30 minutes earlier and had a running clock. Side note, NP looks really good, but their defense looks very vulnerable and susceptible to speed...

    Milton GA 28 - SJP 21

Good catch, Tulla…I didn’t hear Bunch’s name being callled, but can’t confirm that he wasn’t in. Their WR, Washington, has nice hands. They couldn’t get him out in open space (again, maybe because they were playing an elite defense with a good game plan). They are using Nelson on offense now...

    Milton GA 28 - SJP 21

I was able to attend this one in-person and here were my observations: • Milton deserved the win. Their defensive line generally contained the run and they shut down the big plays. Their D-lineman (#38), AJ Crawford, was a monster all game. He got good push and was in the backfield quite a...

    Maurice Clark

Tulla, this would be an interesting development if he is no longer on the team. I have no doubt that they have the depth and talent to overcome it, but it would be a tough loss, nonetheless as he is a very talented and experienced player who made a lot of tough/critical catches throughout the...

    SJP 2021 Season

Anyone close to the Prep program know who will get to take the reigns as QB this year? Will it be their back-up from last year (Picariello)? Tulla had previously mentioned that there were reports of a very talented freshman QB (not sure if it is a true freshman or rising sophomore). I suspect...
