409: Coach Paterno's wins restored.

Any views? I think it's great news and perhaps the tip of the iceberg in terms of NCAA overreach and how that all fleshes out....if at all. A trial would have obviously opened the books on the NCAA in a unflattering way. The decision also frees up the 60M fine to be used for child protection services rather than held in abeyance per continued litigation making it a win on a number of levels.

Nesh. School district

Last year they couldn't get anybody to coach. The school board is a debacle and there are always contract issues, this eliminates any sane teacher who can coach. I'm hearing there has been a mass exodus of all teachers and principals and they can't get anybody to fill positions. The football coach is the least of that district's concerns. How many administrators have left in the past two years? The admin has been forced to changed their direction in terms of athletics. Who the hell would want to coach in a district that has labor issues every two years?
Get use to it.

CBWest & Neshaminy

2 great programs that seem to be going through changes, football-wise not for the better. One possible solution is an ORGANIZED alumni group---- get in the newspapers, schedule meetings with each & every school board member & school administrators. Put them under a microscope, this is something they do not like. I was involved in a non-public school, my alma mater, who, for a period of time, showed no concern & gave no value to any athletic teams(football, girls & boys basketball, wrestling, baseball, etc.) . We organized and made a lot of noise in many ways including financially. Public schools are different but if you get the word out you can hit them where it always hurts--- $$$$ . The powers that be work for you & they should be reminded of that. In this day and age sports should not be de-emphasized, they should be encouraged and celebrated.

Still can't figure out the CBW hire

totally dumbfounded when i woke up this morning and saw in the Intell that CBW hired a 27 year old former player with basically NO coaching experience. The word going around was the former Principle Rod Stone was leading a search committee to find the new coach. Basic reasons would tell you that CBW needed a coach w experience to settle down this once great program. This hire shows that the Central Bucks administration puts NO VALUE on their football program. Pettine and Carey must be shaking their heads

obama couldn't even make decision on how to handle the French march...

As if president incapable hadn't already demonstrated that he lacked common sense and operational capability, now his presidential spokesperson (I forget the name of the guy who is doing that job this month), says it was a mistake to not have sent a representative to this past weekend's march against islamist terror in France.

Did obama just forget to send someone, or did he not care, or was he just not aware enough of the impact?

As stated earlier, if this guy were a corporate CEO, instead of the CEO of the country, sadly enough, he would have been bounced out the door long ago.

Another embarrassment for the USA.

Upon Further Review...Neshaminy

Moscow please take the advice of 71 Skins that you need to let this go, and show some dignity towards Heartbreak Ridge.

You may be familiar with the quote...

"The certainty of history seems to be in direct inverse ratio to what we know about it" -Anonymous.

I will speak for the majority of Neshaminy football supporters that would prefer a more pointed quote of...

"Time will never dim the glory of the Neshaminy Redskins" - Harry E. Franks, 1954.

Buddy, this too shall pass, let it go.

What's the real story at Neshaminy? Is he still the head coach or not?

As of right now Frederick is still the head coach at Neshaminy, if he leaves which sources tell me he might not, a few guys that would be exceptional candidates would be. Coach McShane from Pennsbury, a good defensive coordinator that many feel he'd be a great hire. Coach Techtman would be a flat out score, he's turned the Egan program around and back to respectability and not many better people around. Kervick who was on Schmidts staff at Neshaminy, but him and Schweiker would both probably apply and if one got it, the other would be on staff. The lone guy from the current staff would be McGintty, he seemed to be just what coach Frederick wanted on his staff and keeping things the same in that fact would be a good transition. Just a few thoughts.
